Brother he makes €2,394/month there is no "some people don't have the time" excuse.
He is a lazy fuck. End of story.
Some guy who made a tutorial about how to make money on patreon, said that often 50% or so of the revenue, actually doesn't count, because refused/expired credit card and some shenigans.
Also, there's the plataform tariff and taxes of the income.
It all depends where he lives. In a big city metropoly from Europe, that would be very little, probably won't even be able to pay rent and eat.
If in a 3rd world country then there would be the conversion. Which could indeed be enough to be a upper middle class with this revenue.
So it all depends where he's from.
I don't think the point is that he's doing it for a living but as a hobby it's quite something and it kind of shows how lazy they are, bare minimum effort put in. I'm honestly surprised people let themselves be strung along like that and I'd imagine a lot of the supporters probably forgot about the project years ago and never cancelled. Subscription are a nasty little trick as people often forget about them and let them roll.

Dude, I have already given exactly the same opinion on this developer and others. The response of sheep and moderators of this forum is always the same (it's normal to get fucked). So, don't waste your time with that, at the top right there is ignore thread, click on it and when you are on latest updates, the section will be grayed. This will prevent your time from resetting on this position.
This game seemed good to me at first, but now even the drawing makes me cringe. His time, wherever he is, is past.
Have totaly losted the interest on the game, no more incest and many things eraseds a total crap now.
