The more a game, any game, gets tested on different type of computers with different setups, hardware and softwarre, the more bugs are found and can be corrected to help the game run better for more people.

Not a case of taking away. Since it's a new build it just hasn't been added yet.
Like moving into a new house. Yes the beds and tables have been moved but not the couch, TV and other stuff yet. It should go quicker asssuming no bugs turn up in the new build.

Saves from v0.37 or below won't work in v0.40 but v0.40 and future updates saves will work.
