Little off topic, but "red hair" is from a recessive gene, which means it can randomly appear and disappear in a family tree

So yeah it's really common for parents being both blonde or brunette to unexpectedly have a redhead child. Just like a redhead mother is very unlikely for all her children to be redheads, unless the father is too.
