It means that the good aspect of sandbox (having more freedom) is mixed with restrictions that make it very possible to lock yourself out and have to reload or play it all over again.

It's becoming quite decent. The art is unique and to me it's great but I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea

The issues with locking yourself out have been mostly fixed, there are still some minor bugs but it's looking a lot better than 0.2 was.
