A Roguelite Killing Floor parody of DOOM.
Waves to defeat, unbalanced weapons, ennemies that hit way too soft or way too hard, ennemies with near instant travel bullets since wave one, you're in for a hell trip if you wanna finish this thing. Want a bonus ? How about making the temperature of your house that of hell ? With this game, even turning every option to low (or disable when it's available) nets you a over heating computer (For what it's supposed to do).
You keep every uppgrades between games, so if you die you only reset wave counter. You have 9 brains to discover and eat on the map to gain access to the sexy scenes, i believe they are fixed location, it is so for shops and objectives after all. For the three other scenes, you have to beat bosses.
The weapons have a secondary mode of fire wich for the most part does nothing much, powers are not that great either, so focusing on extended life and defense is probably the go to.
Bug wise, there is not much to say. Some ennemies can get stuck in the scenery wich is not adapted to this kind of game.
Bad points:
-Audio mixing is way off with music being very loud compared to ennemies (wich makes it hard to pinpoint threats, leading to taking free hits before assessing.).
-Not pretty for a game made with a big engine, too requiring and unoptimized for a small game, this game fails to pick it's lane.
-Pre rendered sexy scenes are fine, but why the downgrade from multiple points of view to just one sometimes just poorly chosen ? The ones from Lust'n'dead were better in my opinion (And if i remember correctly were many more). So it's basically a mindless grind.
-Not a bug, but there is no collider to reset your position if you fall down a hole or something like that. You decide or miss input a jump into a ditch or off a cliff, if you can't get out, you'll have to reset or die to get back.
-Can configure inputs, but not all of them, so if you are not a qwerty keyboard user, guess you're obligated to swap the layout of your keyboard via Windows.
-Character barks every one or two kills, and it's quickly tiring to hear the same lines over and over again.
-This is an exploration map, but it's an arena shooter. Ennemies can get lost in the scenery, try to be in a open area when the wave is begining.
-Poison is a immediate killer. Like in killing floor, there are ennemies who turns invisible and become visible when they attack you. They deal Poison if they hit you, and if they do, you'll take probably too much damage over time to keep alive (It doesn't let you one hit point or something). Be constantly moving, if you get stuck, either fumble out or use the push ability, because if it is one of them, your run can allready be over.
Good points:
-It's playable.
-Music is reminiscent of Mick Gordon's works on DOOM, Devil May Cry 5 or Killer Instinct (i don't think it's a ripoff but i could be wrong, i don't like Djent style very much so i don't know.) and it's quite good but not in my taste.
-Pre rendered scenes are okay to look at (don't like three tits shenanigan, but you do you.).
Overall, could be better, would have passed if i knew what to expect.
