I get that the dev wants to make M/M content for this game. I get that there are other games that appeal to my tastes instead. However I can say I am disappointed because this is one of the very few quality WoW themed games and this is the direction it is going instead of appealing to a broader audience.

This "broader" audience isn't even giving half the coin as the gays do  Sonpih can keep appealing to the demographic that continues making them the most money which is (Gasp!) the Gays. That's just how things are and how things will be moving forward. Thanks for understanding

There's nothing wrong with the game being M/M, but I think the issue is that it didn't start that way. It began being more balanced, then slowly shifted to exclusively F/m and M/m, and now it seems that they're ditching the female protagonist. You can't blame people who - for example - played the game for years as a female protagonist being disappointed.

Here's the current plan for the future updates (subject to change obviously)
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Seems like it's going to be mostly just M/M for the next updates with the exception of the alchemy professor and turning Zack into a bimbo
Hmmm...I ain't keeping up with the game-play, but this feels like it's own game?
That reminds me, Harry Potter's "Hogwarts legacy" will release next Feb, not sure if it has anything to do with this.

No, there's nothing wrong to express your disappointment.
The issue is blaming the dev for ditching M/F contents; deem M/M not acceptable or not "Original / Traditional"; keep repeating the same complain over 10 years; or demand the dev to make M/F contents on a thread said dev never visit...

Also know that dev is entitled to develop what he's good at / what he sees fit, especially he didn't make any promise that not delivered.
Even if you throw money at him, you might affect the course, but you are not involved in the development.

This game may have fallen into the trap of polls. I'm glad for Sonpih because they're able to make a decent amount of money for their game (patrons feel like they have a say in the development of the game). Are patreon polls strictly scene-related or are they about gameplay as well ? It looks like it's harming the game in a game design perspective. The issue is that any game needs a clear direction for the start.

I've been following this game for a while, and it had kind of a direction in its early stages : a RPG inspired by CoC in the universe of Warcraft. It had "lore-friendly" content (cause its a parody so of course it's not 100% lore-friendly) and a simple but efficient gameplay: turn-based combat with lewd scenes if you lose or defeat an enemy with lewd.

Then Sonpih started adding very diverse minigames (Brothel, strip game, mansion, beach volley, contest in Karazhan etc.) and the combat didn't get any improvement aside from new enemies (that have maximum 3 scenes when the older enemies all had 4).Now we get Redridge Academy which is kind of a... visual novel ? What the fuck is this game's genre exactly ? It looks like it's trying to be everything at once. This game clearly suffers from feature creep, and although it's technically a sandbox, it doesn't turn out very good most of the time.

On a brighter side, the scenes are great, the models are good, and the writing is decent. It's why I've been so involved with that game aside from being a WoW fan.

Also, what's the point of setting the game in the Warcraft universe if you're planning to do things that tie poorly to said universe ? You've defeated one of the most powerful characters of Warcraft in Stranglethorn (Hakkar, which is literally a demi-god) to be bullied in a fucking school by mere humans and act like a teenager in high school. It makes zero sense.

I will not discuss the lewd content or M/M because it's perfectly fine to have gay oriented games (although I clearly prefer straight scenes and I'm disappointed about the lack of female content).

What's BAD about it is the fact that Sonpih is locking out people of 6 PATCHES OF CONTENT (Redridge Academy is male only) because of a decision they made at the beginning of the game and they can't change at any point (gender).

To be fair, there's some amount of cross pollination in regards to lore between WoW and Hearthstone, and Hearthstone did have a big "academy arc". So this academy does tie in with the broader Warcraft setting.

And also, our characters defeated the Burning Legion, yet was immediately afterwards bullied by the native animals of Kul Tiras and Zandalar. This kind of whiplash is normal for the Warcraft setting.

I think he's just bored of WoW's theme in general and wants to do something new but:
  • Not wanting to build everything from the ground up again
  • Not wanting to detach from the already well-known Lust for Adventure title
Personally, I want some more innovations with the combat system, it's a part that is hugely unexplored imo.

However, it's his game after all and he can do what he wants. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You can easily just look the answers up since all the questions are about World of Warcraft
You can also just kinda guess. There's 1 correct answer, 1 horny answer, and 1 obviously wrong answer.'

Also the rest of the year dedicated to this, jeez. I know I'm not paying for this, but I really don't understand how this is the future of development. It's like early 2000s Newgrounds dating sim tier, but worse. You just do the same task over and over again until it spits out porn.

Which is what we've already been doing, so the solution to freshen it up is to....make it grindier? I guess if the paying patrons are happy I don't have a leg to stand on, but I just don't get it.

I didn't pay any attention to the history classes... and then that test took me by surprise. Of course, I don't touch a warcraft game since Warcraft III and I failed miserably :ROFLMAO:

I really, really hope that this content turns on big time the dev (I can relate. I have a kink with prison/police content, and I'm not even sure that my players will even touch it lol), because I really doubt this content would win any polls, even among gays.

But bah, I won't lie. If I could become a patreon for this game, I would.

The quiz are actually really easy and I've never touched WoW in my life either, just pick the answers that don't sound like jokes

There’s no poll on sonpih at all I know that cause I’m his Patreon member and I look on his post at all time there’s never a single on of polls at all so yes I do agree with you that Sonpih should add a balance of scenes(Straight, lesbian,Bisexual,Gay,etc) but don’t put the blame on us Patreon members please and thank you

He's gay, he prefers creating gay shit, I don't get how it's still a topic here.
I mean ask a straight content creator to add gay content and see how they react. (It isn't pleasant)
Lol that's true. I've seen firsthand when someone asked a straight content creator (who I won't name) about adding gay content for the LGBTQIA+ back then, and the remark he made about it...was not pretty lol. I can't post about what was said because I don't want to spark a scene about his remark that would offend anyone as homophobic which in his defense he's not. A straight guy can't relate nor want to make gay content, and a gay content creator can't relate or want to make straight content either. As for the dev of this game, for the longest of time I've always assumed he was at least a bisexual content creator. But given the fact that he enjoys making gay content, loves men fucking men, and love cock over pussy, therefore he must be gay. 100% gay at that.
Thank you both of you and I agree with you guys 100%

I just downloaded this game and I gotta say, I don't think the two people you quoted are wrong NOR right.

If I'm looking for gay content and a straight content creator provides it as part of their game, but then stop providing such content and focus on stright only, I'll get pissed, specially if I was a patron of theirs. It's simple logic; I joined your game for gay content, you provided it until you had an apparent change of heart, BUT I DID join you cause I liked the content YOU ALREADY PROVIDED of this kind, so I see nothing wrong with asking you to provide me with more gay content or then your mom can keep supporting you if you want to.

This is just the same, but in reverse to the example I used.

PS: The game's previews doesn't do it any favours; Change the pics and show character personalization with the appropiate art changing along with it.

No, the two of them are actually right for the facts they stated about the creator who prefers to create gay content so therefore he is gay. What you can say is that the game is heading in a direction that isn't right for YOU. I understand being disappointed that the game is no longer going in a direction that you prefer but that's just how game development is. The dev has come to a place where they feel more comfortable making the content that they actually enjoy and I applaud him for it.

You can come to this forum and make your complaints about it but Honey....you're just stating the same spiel that all the cishets here have repeated time and time again. It's best to just accept the facts that the game is no longer for you and simply move on.

I mean, it's the same with CoC2 and TiTs.

Both have great content for everybody, gay/bi/straight, etc. Most writers are openly bi/straight. But honestly, the exclusively gay content both have it's... really small and/or kinda flavorless. It's all straight content, with lots and I say LOTS of futa.

Which... I don't think I need to say most gay guys won't really enjoy. I surely don't. I can't blame them though, if they aren't all that attracted to M/M or don't find the inspiration to do that kind of content in their game, well, it's sucks but it is what it is.

If Lust for Adventure started as a game with straight/gay content but decided to focus more on gay content. You can't really blame the devs for it, as other games did this either for survival or because they've found a spot comfortable enough to keep working and developing.

Edit: Also, if you supported the game for a specific kind of content and it's not getting follow ups... Well I guess you're allowed to feel disappointed, but I can't say much because I never donated to a game/VN. So, idk.

Stop with your bias.

I literally just downloaded the game, I stated it in my post.

My point here is, if I was a supporter(I clearly ain't cause I just found the game, but I'll have you know I support all the projects I like the most up to a certain budget I can afford), I would be pissed that this game that started with equal content for all tastes shifted to a only gay content spectrum.

I applaud them if they found their niche, but not only will they lose a big amount of people supporting them because of this sudden shift, but they will earn a well-deserved banther from people who supported them for the content they delivered and then shifted their gears just because. They could have made mixed content in this game, and once it's over, make a full gay content game, but no, they took a half-half game and they are just making gay content.

Good for them if that's what they like, but I won't condone you or anyone else half-assing others just because they complain about the shift in the developer's decission in a game THAT IS SUPOSED TO BE HALF HALF.
