Tbh this developer is a Bit Shady in my eyes anyways as an example Their Game Lustfall which i actually pretty much enjoyed They practically Started a fundraiser for it and i swear i mean to say that it was 1000 Dollars at First but i checked again its 2000 now And 1100 is already raised tbh idk if im Remembering it right but If i am its very shady
You wanna know whats sad? Thats not even a months of rent in some places here in the states. Genuinely, i think youre just looking too deeply into that xD

How is that shady? The donations are to commission the art.

I didn't know this thread would be active, but looking at their twitter I'm still a bit saddened. It's partially budget sure, but their initial "x body" game really stood out. And even the artist chosen after the first game is someone I (rather controversally apparently) like despite the weird quirks. But alot of their new games feel like they're somehow becoming worse when I'd really anticipated they could only get better after playing Hanaja's body. Alot of the previous games had commissioned art & cg for enemies that felt like they fit the chapter & area very well, for both the superhero & monster hunter games.

But this & Capture Games borderline just have them recycle a bunch of the elements with weird integration into actual gameplay, not to mention the fact that the gameplay actually got way more tedious than it already was for my liking during the "Body" games. Their new game demo looks pretty fun, but whether the artist's charging rates are limiting the CG & new enemy budget massively idk. Maybe, and more likely the dev is too afraid to put more commitment into the NSFW + Gameplay aspect atm. And it's sadly a shame since it really has only helped in working to make their games a bit worse each time somehow. Sad too, since this is their first game I bought as she hyped this up alot. Hoped that Capture Games was just a somewhat failed side experiment.

Apology If it came over wrong but what i meant was that i am pretty Sure they are raising the dono ceiling without even Working on the game like i said sometime after Update 9 i think the Donation Started and i think it was for 1000 Dollars If i am correct could be i am not then just raising it to 2000 Dollars without actually delivering anything is Shady in my eyes

Oh i see. I wouldnt know much about that personally, but if it is true, that is a bit weird, yeah.

Hanaja's Body really got me to like the artist. I think veronica's was just early growing pains for both audience and artist, as even ther the art isnt as nice as it is in Hanajas (that or the artist just improved their technique.)

As for this game, i feel like the biggest issue, (outside the terribly implemented exhaustion meter which i still think is the primary reason why the combat feels bad) is the fact that theres a lot more complexity with the combat itself, and its very VERY easy to make a very bad setup thinking that its actually very good (like putting a bunch of bad dice in your stuff that make debuffs more likely to happen, all because bigger attack number = better) So it becomes a tedious hassle. This plus the exhaustion meter make for a very bad combination tho.. especially since the exhaustion meter is what prevents you from playing the jrpg like a jrpg (which is fighting every encounter) while also expecting you to... fight every encounter so that you can be high enough level for the boss.. Its very poorly designed. >.< I personally had no problems after removing the meters after the first dungeon.. i actually stayed overleveled for most of the game, and i even skipped fighting enemies for several areas because of it xD (i was around level 25 when i finished the game and that roflstomped the boss) So i have no clue what the magic balance for the game actually was supposed to be.
