So we are suppose to fight the warlord?, whyt? does he attack our ship ? Im just in the mindset of "whys he our problem" at this point in the story. Depsite the show of succubus like abilities, the MC hasnt even reach the strength of a meta human yet but its said the warlord is destroying armies. . Being found by the meta humans for their stolen ship is a more pressing issue to be worried about for me. And im under the impression the MC wants to uncover more memories. I would settle that they are destroyed by the passage of time, but having that one flashback, theres hope maybe more can be recovered. Tho I dont think remembering the past is going to do much good. Its long gone. Historians will probably find the most use of those memories.. MC has a new life in a sense.
We are, in fact, supposed to go and kick the warlord in the tits, rip his throat open and drink his blood to take his power, or something like that. The exact details are kind of fuzzy, but we met and he lost.

Yes we are supposed to fight the warlord, in fact you can't progress without doing so and you should prepare your troops properly so they don't die. He is responsible for the enslavement of sithraya which is bad enough considering we have Rylan, Bradley, Snake, Gravel, and Riordian as Sithrayans. The meta humans are asleep at the wheel when it comes to the ship presumably because Bradley's crew destroyed the meta human on it.

It seems like the Sithryra's poll started for a while, I'm curious if there are only 3 options (Snake, Gravel and Riordan), or a new addiction?

Here's the Sithyrya poll:

Riordan's plot has been put on hold until the story progresses further, so he isn't appearing on polls. Iirc, the story was that his illness turned out to be some kind of magical ailment spell or something, so maybe the player will now be able to find a way to cure him on the new planet.

42%, geez, fuck these human-thirsty bastards. I'm sure Xperiment would love to do more alien stuff, but people just keep voting for the humans.
That could not be more wrong.
It's Xperiment who gives his patrons such voting power, that he only does what those who paid most want him to do.
  • It's actually extremely toxic, cuz only patrons who spend highest amount of money get what they want.
Heck, he even gives Higher tier Patreons More privilege in the form of 3X voting power.

It's Xperiment's choice to turn LO into a commission based 'product'.
The blame is totally on Xperiment.

His Patreon does nothing wrong to pay to only see the contents they want to see.
Heck, if I'm paying in this kind of money focused business model, I would expect the same.
The problem is the model itself - it's supposed to be for "commissions", not game development.
Never forget it's Xperiment who chooses to use this model.

I just wanted to put in my 2 cents for the whole humans/aliens thing. While I understand the desire for more monster sex, I would like to explain why, presently, certain humans are far more appealing than the monsters. I think it would be best if we compared the relevant humans to the relevant monsters.
Rylan/Katari
Bradley/Arthur
Diego/Niachios
Galiano/Garth
Skru'vaks/Samuel
Personally, given this list I would greatly prefer the humans because the associated traits are far more interesting. Rylan has the most development as a character overall and has a ton of BDSM content. Arthur has plenty of world building potential and kink experience. Diego's whole personality is about having been a dom as a marketing thing. Galiano wants slavery Garth doesn't. Samuel is easy to abuse by most of the cast and Skru'vaks doesn't have much personality. In each instance the humans are far more appealing than the monsters for the ones where we have direct interactions/ decisions to choose between them.

Would I object to more monsters? No, but the humans have been far more compelling in terms of kinks, scenario and writing. Snake is a compelling character and won the poll with 42% because he's more interesting than everyone else. I would like more content with Bradley and Alastor, but Snake just has more about him that is attractive

For you. It sounds like you think the human content is objectively better.

For me, my interests are all over the place. The content with Arthur, Diego, and Galiano works for me. The content with Katari, Bradley, Alastor, and Skru'vaks also all works for me. A lot of the enemy monster content is great too. I wouldn't want either the humans or the aliens to be ignored. The current voting model is swinging in favor of humans though. Xperiment mentioned working on more Skru'vaks content, like, 2 years ago and it felt like it never came. It finally did in one of the recent updates and it was, like, two scenes.

I think he had a better balance between humans and aliens early on. The game felt refreshing for a gay porn game because of the alien content. It seemed like Xperiment had solid ideas for some hot aliens. Not saying the recent content isn't creative, but it does feel less special to me. Lots of games like this focus on hot bara or furry dudes, and I love those games too! But I would like to see him lean back into alien stuff at least a little.

The character that's had the most writing done for him is the most interesting so getting more writing for him rather than for anyone else is very appealing?

Ever heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy?

If anything your comment proves why the aliens/monsters need more content. Also i personally find bradley more interesting than arthur. Bradley when we met him has one hell of an ego and riding on the high of being a revered general of his home planet but the state of his ship begs to differ. But in reality he's a man so desperate to end the war he'll take go through any means to do so, from attacking a metahuman ship to kidnap arthur to make a meta slytherian syrum to try and take out a god that comes down to his planet to kills his people for funsies. My only gripe for his arc is how he gets off scot free after the war ended.

Beyond the humans vs aliens discourse which doesn't really matter since in the end since it comes down to patreon votes, I really just want Cicero to get literally anything. He has the least content out of all the crew members and other aliens even though he's pretty much the only crewmate who's exclusively into the MC (he's doesn't even join in the beach orgy), and he actually is an endearing softy unlike Katari who only pretended to be one at the beginning.

It'd be nice if the dev committed to give even just half of the Rylan/Chip treatment to the rest of the crew before moving on to new stuff, it'd make the content disparity between older characters less huge even if the same people kept winning the patreon polls.

I don't have any strong feelings on the alien vs human characters debate. Even though I am personally only into the humans/humanoids, I really don't mind the others getting content. And some of them I do like for story reasons (Bradley, Garth, Cicero), so I do want to see more scenes with them in general.

But since there has been a lot of debate about this, I was curious about what the poll results actually looked like, though, and here are all of the winners since last spring, when the monthly character polls first started:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

So it looks something like this - 5 strictly human winners, 2 Galiano wins (technically human, but modified and transformed), 3 Chip wins (human-looking android), 4 alien wins. Which does kind of seem skewed, but, imo, it looks worse than it actually is.

Chip wins a bunch for novelty reasons, like his customisation options. Riordan and Snake (first time) were voted for so that they would get character art. Also, I think the reason Galiano won the second time in February was because, looking back, it was the first month he could be voted for again after being excluded from all of the polls since July (I assume for story reasons?). I think that might've had an effect on the results, lol.

I didn't care for the debate much until I saw that it was REALLY bothering people, but I would consider 6-4 human wins to be not something of note in the debate. Thank you for bringing it up

Those Numbers doesn't matter, The fact is Non-humans are largely neglected at this stage, that even with one or two wins, they still don't get enough contents people want.
Any attempt try to argue it's not going there, is just disingenuous.

Before Xperiment's business model becomes a detriment, I didn't expect it to go this way.
Afterall, "Patreon Priority Voting" is actually very common. But those are "Priority" list, Not a "Only thing to do" list.

If Xperiment wish, It's not difficult to keep the balance / diversity, You just work on the rest of the NPCs, before introduce new Human / Humanoid.
The fact is he just choose not to.

Am Not sure how can you use this somewhat racist fallacy as an 'argument', with a straight face
Do you know why it feels like "Human are more interesting and hs the most develoment" in this game?
Besides your personal preference, It's NOT because they are Human / Humanoid,
But because there are way more work / development put into them.

Heck, in the early days when all characters were on the same page, among all the crews Rylan is the least interesting cuz he has nothing unique, but a bland personalty.

I'd say both. Dude needs money, but I'm sure he wasn't intending to only do humans.

I understand what you're saying, but I wouldn't fully blame him when the patrons keep voting for humans in a MONSTER/ALIENFUCKER game.
You still don't get it, do you.
If Xperiment wants to put money on top, that's his Choice.
Xperiment holds the total autonomy for LO, he hs the full power to stop it if he want to, but he Chooses not to.

Patrons are only spend money for their own best interest, they hav no obligations to the game.
