a what?hi guys... how can i access cheat and gallery?
1) It took me a minute to remember the context of what you are asking. If you are talking about the scene where Katari sends an email to his former employer, I don't think there are currently any consequences for wording it rudely or politely, maybe you get friendship points with Katari depending on what you pick? Two questions:
1) Does the tone of the email change anything? That creep can't be recruited, can he?
2) Is it actually possible to unlock the other destination on the galaxy map yet? If so, how?
That's the thing tho.A cheat menu and a gallery are available in a version of the game released to higher Patreon tiers.
Imo, the gallery isn't very worth it, there are still very few CGs in the game right now and they are all part of scenes that are repeatable, while the sprite gallery only shows off some of the sprites. However, the cheat menu is pretty useful, you can give yourself more combat points with it, adjust relationship points with other characters, adjust respect in each location, and add materials to your inventory. It probably isn't very necessary for a regular playthrough, I feel like most battle encounters are rather simple to get through (outside of the Warlord, of course). But it would still be nice if it was included in the regular version of the game, like with Lustful Desires.
Oh, I've defeated the warlord in melee combat and by seducing him, I've seen the people waiting for the Great Birthing, I've taken Garth to the comet, I've taken a bribe to the police for Garth, I've done all sorts of stuff and I still have a question mark on a black background for the cauliflower planet. Do I need some ridiculously high relationship score with Elon to get there or is it simply not in the game yet?I can't really tell at what point in the game you are, I'm assuming at the very beginning? If that's the case, you will first need to finish all of the quests Galiano gives you before you can take off and leave Arka.
Yeah, you've basically reached the end of the game at the current stage in development. You can't really go to Egon's planet yet. Right now, the development is focusing on creating the 2nd level of Akra, since it won the Patreon poll, but other areas currently in development are a magic world, a space city with new alien races, and Earth.Oh, I've defeated the warlord in melee combat and by seducing him, I've seen the people waiting for the Great Birthing, I've taken Garth to the comet, I've taken a bribe to the police for Garth, I've done all sorts of stuff and I still have a question mark on a black background for the cauliflower planet. I mean, sure, the cheat menus between the games serve different functions right now, and in LO's case it's a reward for patrons, so it has a lot of overpowered features. But I don't think it's impossible that some of its features may trickle down into the base game eventually, in a form of QoL options. The base game does offer, for example, a way to lock crew respect in place. That's the thing tho.
LD includes the cheats to solve the flaws in it's game mechanics (The potion brewing is a neat concept but a mess in LD) >> you can treat it as a Quality of Life feature for players.
While in Lust Odyssey, "Selling the Cheats" is in the mindset of game development.
- The absurd amount of numbers required for certain things are to incentivize you to buy their "cheat version";
- The overly complicated Relationship system, you literally can only gain 1 point per interaction - although there's no point gates for scenes as of now - the dev can easily included those in.
- You can not easily flip the respect once you commit into one direction, which is totally unnecessary and another manufactured inconvenience
- It's a regular monetisation practice in mobile games - create problems/inconvenience intentionally, then sell the solutions.
TLDR: There's no way LO's dev will give out cheat version for free, they intended to sell them.
It's not they can't, but they won't.I mean, sure, the cheat menus between the games serve different functions right now, and in LO's case it's a reward for patrons, so it has a lot of overpowered features. I also wouldn't say that the game is particularly unfair without the cheats, I've never really felt like I had to use the cheat menu or couldn't progress without it. The one thing it does do is save the player's time, which only really matters in LO's case because it is a porn game, and so a lot of players will inevitably want to skip past the rpg stuff to get to the content they want to see. But I don't think that it's, like, scummy for a dev to charge $4 for cheats that break the whole game when the base game is already free to play with all of the same content anyway.
I agree, I rather walk the long path rather than stuck behind paywall. At least I got something full than pricey piecemeal. It's not they can't, but they won't.
Am Not sure what you are trying to defend here. Are you denying that LO's dev designed what on my list, so they can sell the cheat better?
I'm solely calling out that practice. Not against LO's dev.
There's nothing wrong when the dev choose to better monetise their game, as long as it doesn't affect the actually gameplay. And even when it does (like LO and Tavern of Spear), if the game itself is good, people can overlook that.
It's a delicate balance when indie dev's going this direction.
And mind you there's no shortage of devs go too far into anti-player direction (like Hornstown, ToS)
I'm not really defending anything, I just disagree with your conclusion that the game was designed with charging for cheats in mind. The cheats were only added half a year or so into the development, and a lot of the features like adjusting relationship points weren't added until much later. It's not they can't, but they won't.

well, they can't stop anyone from using a save editorThat's the thing tho.
