I know there's one-and-a-half games that are connected to this one, but it does very much give a strong vibe of reading someone's private prose, where connections and backstories are simply not established because it was only ever written for the audience who already knows it.I swear to God I've never played a game more confusing.
Lore-wise, there seems to be a lot of stories but it seldom explains the links between the characters. Is there a sequel or are the previous games related? Or are those only references?
Game mechanics-wise, after spending some hours on the game and searching through here, I still have no idea how half of those gadgets work. Every time I made sure all the evidence happened, and then I got one that the list crossed off.
As for evidence, the big problem child is Conjurer, which has four evidences and one is selected randomly. If two of the evidences you get are EMF/Orbs/Freezing then you need to be looking for the third of those even if you already have three evidence.
That said, like Phasmophobia most evidences are straight forward. EMF, Spirit Box and Freezing all show up on the UI. Ghost writing and UV make obvious visible evidence that persists. DOTS is a bit random and sometimes infrequent but you can watch it from the truck. Ghost orbs are the tough customer because they can spawn anywhere in the ghost room but can only be seen through a video camera, and on large rooms you have to drop several cameras to get enough coverage to monitor the whole room. Even then it's sometimes taken ages for me to see orbs.
