I really like the game and it could be a total Super Deepthroat killer, but not if we cannot customize the characters for free. I think it may be worth having those features for free to make sure many people play the game. More people playing = more people potentially donating on patreon. Forcing people to pay for features isn't going to have them pay for those features, it simply turns them off from the game. Anyways those are just some of my thoughts, but keep up the good work! Love the game!

p.s Modding support for the community would be great!

you're absolutely right

I download the game at the first release
there was some options to customize the girl
enjoy it
find it promising, maybe give some money in the future
then download the new release to see the progress
saw every options are lock without being a patreon, even the old options that wasn't lock in the first release
delete the game
See ya

Hi! This is my first time posting on F95, I was interested to try this game before I patreoned and I really liked it. But I am interested Kalirana ChaseMcDickBall do you really think that people would pay more when everything is open and free? I thought about this when I was making my own game too because then the Patreons wouldn't feel unique if that makes sense? Like why would they spend like 5-10-20-50 dollars on the game if everybody can play it for free? Wouldnt everyone just go and download it for free and that is all? Sorry for the rant I am just really interested in this.

many projects do just fine by just providing earlier access to the patreons
it is probably this train of thought however that leads developers into locking out parts of the game
but as said above, it doesn't make people want to pay, it just makes them angry
also, there are people who support a project, not pay for the content, if you get what I mean, which would again be a group of people that would pay for something that gives out all the content free over time and be turned away from locked features
and another way (which can be on top of releasing over time) is patron-exclusive cosmetic or other little things that are not important to the game
yea it's important to treat your patrons right for the money they give, but if you give non-payers a worse product with paywalls, they're gonna go look for something else that doesn't treat them as inferior rather than come and pay

ViviX12 hmmmmm that is really interesting! And is it okay for example idk. If all the features were unlocked but were late for like 2-3 months behind patreons? Would that be a good common ground?

Sorry hahahah I want to start a new 3D game and want to see what is the best way to set this up, so its a win win situation for everyone. It will be free but the features will be for example 2 months behind the patreons?

3 months is rather long end on the spectrum, I usually see 1-2 weeks, but it is up to the developer to decide

I don't think it's a question of time.
Many games here don't even need to lock their content to bring money to their creator.
If the game is good, people will buy, as simple as that.
BUT
If you want to reward people to be confident or loyal in your project (fully understandable), just lock the latest major feature, so everybody can see the progress of your game.

Kalirana ChaseMcDickBall ViviX12 would you honestly consider paying for patreon if the game was completely free?
lol this is just my opinion but there's a reason why we come to release threads like this. Or are we just talking about some hypothetical marketing advantage

I'll be totally sincere here, i did patreon just for wild life and pure onyx because I couldn't find a reliable dl source for latest releases at the time so... it's a bit anecdotal, but the paywall worked pretty well on me. and I never felt the need to pay for summertime saga because its 100% free, even though i enjoyed the game.

Definitely interested in modding support for the game. A dialogue system plus some custom actions/poses is definitely the route I'd focus on.

Not really until we got some mods for the game.
I think developers can make the game data loose or supporting modding community, it will be very cool

they have talked about that in their patreon:

Yes! We definitely will look into it, it would also benefit the community overall specially when it comes to art mods, as it could help scale the amount of hairstyles, clothes, etc available for people to choose from. We are just being careful about starting working on a Modding API while the scene is still under development because changes to it would also mean changes to any Modding API we come up with, and that would just eat a lot of Pinou's time basically hahha.

i can't speak for others, but i can tell you that i go out of my way to get everything for free, and yet i still specifically give my money to creators i like to help them out even though i can just as easily not pay to get what i want.
in fact, the only reason i get interested in these creators in the first place is by checking out something from them for free, otherwise i'd have never bit the bullet paying for a product i most likely would not have enjoyed (which is the case 95% of the time in this website, and even worse directly in patreon where you don't even have tags or tons of previews).

currently i'm supporting a few creators that i think are worth supporting, even though it literally gives me no advantage in regards to content since i can get their stuff over here for free anyway.

well personally I don't pay for porn in the first place :p
but, if I had more money, and since I'm already on this site, yea I'd support a project from desire to support the project rather than just getting the stuff

Just look at Summer time saga, its a free game and even I pay for it. What's your point? Darkcookie (the creater of SS) last time I checked makes about 90k/month from patrons on his FREE game.
