I'm stuck trying to select language

same it takes up the bottom half of screen and continue button cannot get focus
Change the aspect ratio to 4:3 in the settings that should help while it is happening
Didn't think of this and instead manually edited the 'System' save file
For the curious: 503th byte in 'System' save file is responsible for initial language select dialog and I found out that making it FF makes the problem go away in my case. Probably not in the same place for everyone, but the byte responsible is 4 bytes after '_initialLanguage' tag, normally its 01 00, making it 01 FF works like a charm.

I also ran into this problem. I found a solution- just change the screen resolution in the game to a smaller one, then turn it back when you choose the language.
