It's insane people think a game like this requires "years of work" with a team of developers. How many developers do you think SDT had? To be made on flash? What about the developers that completely overhauled the game with months of work to have a story, vaginal, etc.
I have to honestly ask if SDT is even usable anymore? I realize that there is a standalone player for flash, but since it has reached its EOL, I don't even know if the site for it is still active anymore, or even developed? Hrm..

SDT isn't just magicly done in a month lol
It might seem like it, but people rarely have a good grasp on how long any expert work takes in general. The guy you're replying to talks about "thousands of developers" and you'd be hard pressed to find any game that had even one thousand developers developing it over the course of the entire project, yet for him that seems like a reasonable thing to say because he genuinely doesn't know any better.
On the other hand when you scale things down, things that might take a day from one person can lead to entire character arcs lasting months and years from a different group of people. Not everyone is as skilled in the things they do or even have the abilities to see through the things they started. Project management is a whole another beast from making a tech demo so when you add a couple devs to the project you suddenly need to not only do that, but also time travel to start doing it from the beginning of the project because your codebase is literal horseshit.
I don't have to make my own game to realize that the dev is milking the project when the only thing he has to show after months of nothing is two new preset characters while the game is still as janky and broken as the day it came out

i mean we didn't pay anything and the public version is 0.7.1
if you have paid for it then i'm not gonna argue because i felt the same when i paid for something and it gets too long with few content being delivered.
you should complain/ask/request to the dev themselves in discord.

if the game isn't finished then it's not finish, if they milk their patreon then so be it cause i didn't pay shit to have the rights to complain but if i paid for it then i'll make sure to talk shit when they don't delivered.
i just hope they don't drop the game and really do something.

Welp, good news: it didn't kill my desktop so I think they optimized it.
Bad news: This is my main menu. I can't click a damn thing.
Think I'm gonna have to download an older version, change the resolution, then reopen the newer version and hope it fixes the problem.
Edit: Fixed it. Going to an older version made it worse, believe it or not, it just zoomed in more and put it in the middle. But, if anyone else is suffering this issue, you need to go into your appdata folder, both Local and LocalLow, and delete the Dinotonte folders completely off your HDD. It should reset the game's resolution. There's probably a less heavy handed way to do it but, eh, I'll leave that to the tech nerds prowling the site. The "folder go burr" approach works for me.

i get these visual bugs when trying to use the mac version
(already disabled vsync)
had issues with the unarchiving through the standard method so i had to use a different unarchiving programm, so ima try to use a different one and see if that works.
edit: nevermmind, the visual bugs seem to be irrespective of the unzipping progress (which imakes sense)

but ye, after a bit of looking through, it seems to be a problem with the mac port in general, for many people.
