Kudos to the patchers, modders and rippers that see this kind of low-effort crap and take the time to bypass the scammer's paywalls so people don't waste their time and money supporting this lazy garbage. Cheers and thanks for the effort, guys. :coffee:

This is a pirate site, not a promotional marketing site for low-effort AI scammers. I don't mind seeing the game here, if there are enough people seriously interested in the content, but it should be clearly marked as a cash grab demo and the patches or content rips should be posted front and center, linked directly in the OP, for anything with this degree of paywall nonsense. If even one person on F95 misses the patches and ends up paying this guy, it just encourages them do to more of this shit.

I agree. The only thing worse is this dev. 11 abandoned games.

This is my main problem with AI CG. Not that it's usually soulless and mediocre compared to actual human art, not that it represents wholescale theft and devaluation of the work of actual human artists, not that it's a terrible waste of computing power and resources, even though all of those things are true.

To me the worst thing about it is that it used to be, some random asshole who wanted to make a cheap ripoff game had to actually learn art or pay an artist, and because of the time and money involved, they couldn't move all that fast. Think asset flips; even if you don't pay for the assets (or you don't pay much) you still have to chase them down, fuck with them a bit, try to make some sense of them in your game engine. You could buy or steal models but you still had to learn how to pose them. It took time and effort and usually at least a little money.

But now that same random asshole can spend an hour with Midjourney or Stable Diffusion, crank out a couple dozen images, drop them into Renpy along with a garbage GPT script, throw it up on Mega and start begging for money from credulous idiots on Patreon. And there's nothing to stop him from going back and making half a dozen more tomorrow. They don't even need to deliver actual games, they can throw everything behind Patreon paywalls and if you're dumb enough to pay them you see it's all actually "Coming soon!" and meanwhile they've already moved on to the next ripoff game.

It used to be easy to spot and ignore those scammers, and you still can, but they can flood the zone with garbage faster than you can ignore them now. I hope someone at F95's getting a cut at least, because letting scammers load up the Latest Updates page with this low-effort crap isn't making the site better for anyone.

While making the necessary changes, I noticed that it was repeatedly stated that the Patreon content was available in version 1.9.5. For this reason, I wrote it that way, but of course, it applies to the version posted as 1.9.0.

if you really want to know, i'd tell you to ask your friends who are writers or artists. but if you're out here defending AI, you don't have any friends who are writers or artists. and why would you? who would want to be friends with someone who thinks their life's work is not valuable enough to pay a dime for, but too valuable not to steal to feed into the machines, so people can make shitty copies of it, again without paying you a dime?

First and foremost, I do have friends who are artists, one an art artist, and another who does music stuff. The art artist I've never discussed ai with, while the music one likes ai. Secondly, show me the artist. Show me the artist they stole from. You're retarded, and a joke.
