It's not intuitive but you need to summon the circle with C and then enter the circle, hold X and then (still holding X) hold Z. It should tell you something like 9 turn to wait, 8 turn to wait, 7 turn to wait, etc. At 0 you will be teleported.

For those who are having a great deal of difficulty with the game-play but actually enjoy playing the game... Those who want a cheat method. The Save file is in the game file, just make a duplicate in a separate folder and if something screws up your game 'go to title' then go and paste your old save file over the one that you want to go back on. Yes a bit irritating to do this but it is not anything that I have not done before on other games. My big irritation was the opening, as I found myself restarting the game several times.

I don't know what you are talking about. I talk to everybody at night and during the day. The only thing that happens is during the night when the guy next to the item shop jerks off.
