Here is my starter guide if anyone has been struggling.

For quick travel craft red flag and put them in points of interest, fry meat in bonefire for meals. Eat berries for meals and thirst.
Craft a workbench, iron workbench, furnace. Prepare cages for capturing natives and animals, if you can, craft a stone farming zone. You can use leaves to create fish traps early on for passive food income.
If you are worried about your second MC in base, craft a building like tent or a house with bed inside, since raids are mostly at night they cant touch your char.

Capture Bigfoot, you need iron club from iron workbench and fried meat. He has the largest HP pool in game and he can defend your base alone for long time.
Capture old man and old lady natives, use old man's crafting to craft 12 abortion potion and 12 rejuvenation potions for both elders. Gold fish can be obtained from ponds around inner zones of island, best one is east of spider cave. Capture at least 1 native woman for pregnancy/abortion cycle. You can use both elders for farming which is another nice passive income for food and crafting mats. You can craft high chance of pregnancy potion from bonefire but it is bit tricky since soy beans are hard to comeby
When you are leveled up nicely, go to first Yona quest, beat up the fat pervert and learn man bench, after you crafted his bench make a spiked club or a knife and go beat native boss in northern part.
Find nanachi trader, trade all your life orbs and rejuvanation potions from old man for better potion. Feed potions to elders. When old man becomes young he can craft for you the best price wise weapon in game.
This is all you need for easy low grind gameplay. You will have no problem with any creature or quests ever again. And once you get katana you wont ever have anything to worry about at all. Just keep in mind to craft repair kits. So you can forget about crafting gear and tools.
