Anyone got tips for setting up decent base defense? The walls are really tricky to set since they are placed diagonally contrary to other building such as stairs and platforms. And their hitbox are horrendous, sometimes wide gaps are impassable while sometimes they are not. It's really hard to set up the entry points due to this

Wall HP varies depending on the type of wall you use. Some are pretty sturdy. The best ones are the iron wall (2500) and ironstone wall (3000). The luxury wall is pretty decent too (2000).

With that said, the best strategy is to place wood spikes and/or iron needles in front of your walls. I'll typically place the spikes against the wall then the needles in front of the spikes. What this does is that the natives will stand on the needles while they try to destroy your spikes and get damage from both until they either give up or go down (which is the more likely outcome). Ever since I've started doing this, I've rarely had to rebuild walls (I've had to rebuild spikes though but that's not quite as annoying).

Alternative method, if you want to mass stun the raiders, use ore needles instead of iron ones.

BTW, The Butler has created a mod with non-diagonal walls! It's very handy. You can snatch it up here:

Blue Mad Diode is very guro centric. Funnily none of his past games have made me particularly uncomfortable. However, the save screen for his current work, Sariel, involves a woman drinking a literal gore and brain smoothie made out of the protag whenever you save. (Get it? Brain? Memories?)
Probably the only thing in any game that's ever made me have to physically look away or it makes me gag. So be ready for that if you ever decide to give it a go.

I kinda suspect the spike + wall combo but the wall placement really threw it off for me so i never tried it. Also i didn't know ore needles stun NPC. I might use this to get me some defensive brute army. Thx for the info

As for the mod...im VERY tempted to use it. The indestructible part sounds OP, but at this point having it placed non-diagonally is really what i need the most. Prolly gonna use it until the devs decide to overhaul the walls altogether

To be honest I'm not sure I want to try anymore, it wasn't really alarming since most things on Mad Island were optional, but after reading Daisy's diary while playing Night of Revenge I decided not to get involved with these games again, honestly why would I play a game just to feel like a piece of human garbage,or look at human brain smoothie?

Man I wish I could just leave it at that. Everytime if you ask me if I like guro i'll swear to the grave that I don't, and i really don't, but then someone comes along and says "man, there's some fucked up shit over here!" and my ass be like "really? how bad could it be?" As a result i've been looking at games made by mad blue diode for the last day and a half(they even have a wiki it seems) and while I firmly have no desire to play them myself, I want to see an uncensored playthrough of them. I've found a couple gallery vids and a couple amusing youtube vids jumping through hoops to not have anything explicit shown, but i want to see them from start to finish with all that happens in between, is that too much to ask?
Do not weep for me dear reader, all these desires will leave me soon enough and this dev group and their games will be lost to the void of my mind following suit but god dammit why am i like this? I just can't avoid looking at the awful shit, and just to reiterate my dick is turbo soft looking at this stuff, this is appealing to a different part of my brain.

Next update is better be good, really. Author makes many claims on art that is complated and from what i have seen from the file structure art should be the bottleneck. If he cannot keep on implementing those he really better get more help or this project will lose steam very quickly.

This is nice and all but this is just the little updates the devs periodically do, i'm still holding out for one more big update before year end, namely that ending they were wanting to release in october. I mean they didn't scrap it right? they were actively making progress with it before deciding to push out the chaos cave right? it can't take that much time to finish i figure, so i'll wait a bit more. The only small update i'd jump on right now is if they implement pregnancy for these same natives, that's what i'm about.
