I made a mod (Drop in BepInEx/plugins folder) for the game to be less forgiving for Yona...
This is a huge code-rewrite and might not work on newer versions.
Updated (Debug zip only) for v0.4.5, Tested for v0.4.3.2 (Stable zip)

So far it does:

Please help me test it if you can because I couldn't do it on my own.

Stable Release is always an older version of the mod!
> I've attached a full BepInEx installation (version might be old when you read this) for those that have trouble manually installing it (BepInEx - MadIsland Tweaks.zip).
The file that is found at the end of the attachments list is usually the latest Debug update.

(F95 is periodically marking this file as a virus, if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.)

Latest Updates Changelog:
How can install this?

If this is a oversight on my part I apologize but I'm having issues clicking on the rope Kana is hung by. I spawned in the boss due to having killed him already before discovering the guide but after using the knife as well as the stone sword I can't see any indicator when hovering over the rope to cut it. I've tried rushing in and just spam attacking the area that looks like it should be cut but nothing happens. When I kill the boss he freezes into a statue and stands there motionless so perhaps whatever bug has him doing that is affecting Kana but I have no idea. This freeze effect also happened during the first battle with him as well. Any advice?
Like was said, that respawns now. You can only cut the rope while he's still alive for some reason. If you enter from the south and kill the two guys outside so they don't follow you in, its not that tough to just sneak up on him and cut it without him even seeing you, just make sure you have knife equipped and approach him from the back.

It doesn't work on the Native Boss spawned in via dev commands. You need to fight the actual Native Boss at the center native settlement. He respawns every time on load anyway even if you killed him before so there's no need to resort to commands. Heck he even respawns after saving Kana (and Lulu); his sprite just no longer has either of them hanging off his back for obvious reasons.

Also, just in case... to sever the rope, you need to be controlling the male MC and have a knife-type weapon that also doubles as a tool for dismembering body parts (that can't be hacked off with axes). Currently AFAIK what counts are the basic Knife (crafted from Men Workbench), the Blood Knife (crafted from the Meat Workbench) and the Kunai (crafted from the Spring Workbench).

Swords don't work. The Diamond Dagger also doesn't work since it's considered a sword (a better translation should be "Diamond Shortsword" instead of dagger).

To sum it all up:
1. Reload your game .
2. Change to Man if you're controlling Yona.
3. Equip a Knife, Blood Knife or Kunai.
4. Head to the native village at the center of the map.
5. Walk up to the boss. (preferably by sneaking up behind him if you have already killed him before)
6. Click on the rope above Kana (blue-haired girl). Pause the game if you problems clicking the rope while the boss is moving.
7. Watch the animation play out.
8. Leave. Or (re)kill the boss, your choice.

To install Valen_H mod:
https://f95zone.to/threads/mad-island-v0-4-5-3-beta-e-made.209671/post-17225182

If you have a fresh install of Mad Island that has no mods.

Download the left-most file and extract the zip into the <game directory folder> where the Mad Island.exe is.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

If it's not a fresh install of Mad Island that has no BepInEx mods and BepInEx has been installed.

Go download the right-most file.

Navigate to the folder directory:
<game dir>\BepInEx\plugins
Extract it in the <game dir>\BepInEx\plugins

---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you running into trouble, the step by step instructions to date is:

Go to this website and find out what you need from this webpage.

Put simply, if you're using a Windows operating system, then just go to this link.

And download the file on the page named:

BepInEx_win_x64_5.4.23.4.zip

Once you got that, go back to your game directory where you put the BepInEx and just delete the folder. (Cause we're going to just start again to troubleshoot).

Now extract all the files from:
> BepInEx_win_x64_5.4.23.4.zip

Into:
> The game directory where the Mad Island exe is at.

Then go get only the file on the right on this post:
https://f95zone.to/threads/mad-island-v0-4-5-3-beta-e-made.209671/post-17225182

File name should be: MadIsland Tweaks.zip

Now navigate to the folder directory:
<game dir>\BepInEx\plugins

And you should be in the <plugins folder>
Just extract the MadIsland_Tweaks.zip contents into this folder.

In this plugins folder should have this vh.madisland.tweaks.dll mod.

-----

Now try and test the game again and check for working commands and mechanics.

You know the mod is working if:
  • Villagers doing stun damage to the white bar when hitting you with normal attacks
  • Typing in command /suicide works

Is there a way to cheat the death raid? I dont want to grind a hundred npc's to level 9000 and cook enough pizza's for a small town for one fucking event.

There are techniques for beating him. You want steaks as I remember, and you do NOT want to level up your villagers. They can only do like 1 damage, but everything they try to do is reflected back at them. So less is more.

I beat her without all that. I used the Ent Queen. She throws out loads of long lasting brambles that do tons of rapid damage as you kite the reapers back and forth through them. She also emits a healing aura that helps. I used plenty of Recovery Potions on her though, and Anti-Stun Potions on myself. She went down, but I just waited until she got back up and dumped a couple more Recovery Potions into her. I didn't find it too hard, but I had leveled my Ent Queen up reasonably well using normal raids. Use the chainsaw on Death and he's not hard at all. He is slow, just make sure you are in the white zone before you start doing him damage.

I also wonder if the new rotating blades that continuously inflict 1 damage would make the Death raid much easier. A forest of them should knock Death and his Servants all down fairly quickly, you would think. They are available from the Trader for visit tokens.

This is not the best way to do it. The easier way to clear it is...

To kill Death Servitors (my way and other people advised the same):
  • Capture tons of cheap NPCs (e.g. rabbits or chickens or roosters)
  • Farm and make 100 Steak Sets
  • Get one human NPC equipped Decoy Charm
  • Make a podium so you can port to the flag and force the NPC to stand up there to avoid dying
To kill Death
  • Your main character is either using a chainsaw (from the Halloween raid equipment drop) or Shuriken to kill Death in melee combat.
Can't remember if there was a code to clear raid.

/assbeat

There's also /assend that ends a raid but without downing the enemies unlike /assbeat. /ass will also end a raid like /assend if there's an ongoing raid. Otherwise it'll start one instead. You can also pass parameters to /ass like /ass 10 to start a Halloween raid or /ass 44 to start a Reaper raid.

(Yeah, /ass for assault winds up unintentionally hilarious...)

I'm sure my upcoming question has been answered forever ago, but it might have changed. Is there a way to change an NPC's personality? I have a Native Woman who's been with me since the beginning, but I hate her having a selfish personality and it also clashes with all of my other villagers since I avoid it like the plague. A cheat or comething maybe?

You can save-edit the personalities.
1762357664631.png

There should be your save file.
Open with an editor (personally I use Notepad++)
Use Crtl+F to find the name of the NPC:
1762357861781.png

The 3 lines below are:
  • The NPCs own personality
  • Personality the NPC likes
  • Personality the NPC doesn't like.
Now there are 10 personalities:

0 = Laidback
1 = Good-natured
2 = Churlish
3 = Narcissist
4 = Negative-minded
5 = shameless
6 = selfish
7 = Act tough
8 = careless
9 = mean
Now: Named story NPCs (Reika, Keigo etc.) cant be edited this way.
Otherwise just replace the numbers with what you want from the NPC.
Example as seen above:

The NPC Sari herself is careless, likes NPCs with a good nature and dislikes mean NPCs.

Someone know if the Dev already added or will add male tamed natives with consensual and rape sex on special female npcs (Cassie and the rest one) ?,i remember asked it long ago,and it hasnt,but it was very long ago,it has already on the most recent updates?
It should be cool if he add pregnancy on special female NPCs if they have sex with tamed natives

I like how you fully upgrade your observe skill and somehow discover a crab with a "Negative Minded" personality.
