To be fair your arguments so far can also be considered to simply justifying cheating instead of playing the game (or any other).

I mean just admit it. Some people think exploits are cheats. Play the way you want.
What exploits? Building the base high in the sky, so the raiders can't reach your base is an exploit.
Using console commands to disable entire swaths of game mechanics is actual cheating.

It's been several months since I touched this game,
took me a while to update the patches and the mods,
and it seems this issue has not been solved yet, so look it up a bit.
Seems like the Stats Gain Multiplier mod had an error after the patch,
It makes the upgrade buttons for your Life, Strength, and Speed stats non-finctional;
even if you disabled the mod with BepInExConfigurationManager.

Fortunately, I've made it to work again, no noticeable error; but I still can't guarantee I didn't messed it up somewhere
Since I skipped the "base StartCoroutine" lines, that I have no idea how to make it works on a static method.
I'm sure Purple_Heart or anyone with proper programming knowledge could fix it better
