Two questions: How do I get past the first raid, and what can I do, if anything, if Yona gets killed?
At the time of my first raid, I was very confused because I was not familiar with the game, but I found a bear that spawned nearby and lured all the raiders to the bear and made them kill each other. Alternatively, since the apes do not attack allies in the current version if they start destroying structures, we set up walls to encourage them to attack and then deal with them.
If Yona is attacked while you are controlling a 'man', she will be stunned. But she will wake up again in time, so you don't have to worry.

Easiest thing you can do is just run thru the attackers. The game doesn’t have the “bad touch” so dodge their attacks like that and hit them in the back. Try not to get overly greedy with the hits though.
This game's combat gameplay is similar to Dark Souls. You have to dodge enemy attacks, and hit them when an opening presents itself.
It is also similar in that both Man and Yona are immortal. It doesn't matter if you can't beat the first raid, as you have nothing to lose yet. Player character will revive immediately, the other people on your side will get up in a few minutes.

There's a chest in the middle of the swamp that has the recipe. Not sure if you have to beat the boss first or not, the boss is in the north part of the swamp
