Can it be played with just one character, or is that game over then?
You *could* but you'd miss out on a lot of stuff, and you definitely wouldn't make progress on the main story, as that requires switching between the two (some events require Man, others require Yona).

But if all you care about is exploring and/or building bases and/or H scenes, then sure, you could theoretically play with just one of the two.

PS. Note that there's no 'game over' in this game since none of the characters (MC's or tamed NPC's) can ever die. So it's not a real "survival game" in that sense, since you never have to fear what will happen if you get killed (spoiler: you'll respawn lol).

Okay was trying it out first before making a purchase for the Steam version and the crafting menus are so atrocious I could not enjoy the game at all lmao. I guess the devs would not check these kind of forums but man they really need some kind of categories and searches in.

NPCs CAN die, but unique ones have Plot armor... though atleast two of them are an exception as they have Events that CAN leat to their death.
I suppose htat's what you mean but let's better spell it out.

ok.
so, even after reading all guide above i still dont understand wtf im supposed to do, especially with no quest since the begining (there literally no quest in quest menu)

so, i ended up slaughtering everyone i meet and captured as much as women i can (lol). but even so, i dont know what i should do with them as the only thing i can do with captived native females i can find is, buttock and cage.
help lol, does there really no quest as pointer after stranded and meet the boy?
thanks, and i apologize of my lackness lol
In order to advance the main quest, you have to go to the locations in the map linked on the first page (NOT the starting out guide, the other one). Otherwise, this is a survival/resource gathering game; gather resources to make stuff, and eventually you'll be able to make better stuff.

Nearly every unique creature/human in the game can be screwed. You just have to choose the right options when interacting with them. Bigfoot and the werewolf and most male bosses will rape the female mc if you screw up fighting them; the male mc can recruit such as the giantess or the big-tiddy lady and fuck them. For screwing the locals, you have a couple of choices: 1) get defeated in battle by male npc's as the female mc or attack female npc's as the male mc, 2) beat whichever native you'd like to bang into submission with a club (not the spear or sword, ONLY blunt weapons), put the beaten person into your inventory, build a cage and put them in it, and feet them cooked meat until their little icon says "maxed", THEN explore the island with them and/or dance with them until their disposition towards you reaches 51. Then you can ask them for sex. You can build a little colony this way, and you can even assign the abducted npc's to do stuff such as harvesting wood or mining.

Btw, if you explore the parts of the island that are for the main quests, you can even see the icons on the map. Blue diamond icon is for the male mc, red/pink (I really can't tell) one is for the female mc. You have to travel east/northeast pretty far from the beach to find the first main quest. Here's a little advice for you that (hopefully) doesn't spoil much: craft as many red flags as possible; wherever you place them becomes a fast travel point to help you get around the island a little quicker.

NPC's you've abducted can also be abducted in raids, even males, which I think is effectively the same thing as them dying because you'll never see them again. I say that because idk if you can get them back or not; I'm betting not. I never tried; I used to save scum my way out of raids until I figured out that spikes + Werewolf/Bigfoot/de-aged old man/woman is op af against raids.

You can recover them by beating a Prison Ward (the Giants from the Prison area).
They'll drop the raid magnet, which is pretty much the most effective method to cotroll raids as to where they'll spawn.
If you fail to or ignore them though they'll get butchered.

Holy shit!? I didn't even know that was a feature. Well damn, that changes things up a bit. Thanks for telling me, man.

Come to think of it. Has there an actual workshop items that actually interactable and has actual use by now, instead of just decor?

That's a question I have, too (responding to your spoiler). I've never seen Keigo bang any native chics, or any npc chics. I know they can form relationships with the natives (had to move one of my favorite natives to another base because Reika didn't like her), it should follow then that they can bang them as well. Wonder if that's something that can be implemented in a future update. Man probably likes getting all the pussy, but its unfair if only he gets it when there's so much to go around. Plus, it would fit well into the overall theme of survival with the caveat of including a little bit of realism; you want to make a genetically diverse population to avoid inbreeding, and I think 24 or 26 people split down the middle between male and female is the minimum size for doing that; I know 200 is the suggested size.

You can tame anything bigger than a mouse, and smaller than a boss. Mini-bosses such as yeti and werewolf are popular because they're very strong in a fight.
Once you deploy a tamed being, they're all treated as villagers, except that non-humans don't need to sleep and aren't as picky about neighbors' personality.
Idk, in my playthrough I had to assign Bigfoot and Werewolf to opposite ends of my base because they started to hate each other real quick. That was before I learned to turn off love. But they didn't seem to mind the natives or other npc's.

The Story says go around to explore and most importantly survive... if possible meet other survivors and learn about the island.
Eventually you'll find a village in a chokepoint between 2 mountains with a native boss that keeps 2 women (probably friends of man) an a chokeing leash, after defeat they'll hang to die, which might be changeable in the future if the last Update post is true and there will be some sex event with one of them.
oh, so it survive and fucc type games. nice

The first person you meet at the beach is not an NPC. It's an alternate PC, and you can switch between them at any moment. Sometimes, you will have to switch.

Check my guide (in my signature) for what you should do.

This is an exploration-based game, not quest-based game. Explore, get stronger, explore some more. Find all the waifus and husbandos and collect them all.
Try building a base that would provide you resources with no effort on your side. Or a base that fits your aestetic taste.
Also, you can tame people and animals you put in cages, so that they'll become your minions.
so i can even fucc the male creatures too? damm

There will be two slots in the basic wooden cage; put the cooked meat in the second slot and they will consume it over time. I believe its 10-15 meats that will max them out. As far as keeping them fed once they become your minions, build a food box and a well, and place them around your base. The well will fill up whenever it rains, and (don't quote me on this), but I think the food boxes can be filled by people you've assigned to do things such as farming or harvesting. If I'm wrong, then just fill up the boxes yourself with excess food.

Wells (and automatic Water Tanks) fill up slowly automatically without rain. Every 1/8 of a day (one pie slice in the day clock), if I remember correctly. True, they also fill up to full immediately when there's rain and you're nearby.

NPC only fill food boxes if they're assigned the "Food" job. Farming and harvesting (and livestock-ing) will just have them deliver their products into harvest boxes. The Food job is terribly inefficient but, hey, if you have an NPC standing there doing nothing you might as well have them fill up a food box.

Do note that NPCs only need food if they take damage. Food is used for autohealing, I think 1 food for every 1% health healed. Water is only used if they're working or for healing stun (white bar) damage. So, NPCs who don't ever take damage (easiest to do is by setting their AI to Survivor, especially for workers) don't need food, and NPCs who don't work usually don't need water.

Thanks for clarifying that. The "food" one is what I meant to say; I knew they filled the food boxes by giving them that job but the rest I didn't know. I'm still tinkering with the base-building mechanics.

On that note, I'm trying to figure out what the "sea area" thing from the mermaid does; is it just something that defines her living area or what?

The Petulant Imposter take into account that "training" counts as work and requires NPCs to get water, also the healing rate is lower than 1%, maybe something inbetween 0.2 - 0.4% you can see this easily while fighting death you need to get them to 100/100 Food atleast 3-5 times to heal them completly.
Yet another thing I didn't know. Whenever I saw the icon above their heads, I just assumed they were hungry/thristy so I built the well and food box, and since I never saw those icons again afterwards I didn't think anything of it. So it seems I got them back to 100% without even knowing what the hell I was doing; nice to know there's more to it.

The "sea area" is just a square area filled with water so she can freely move in that area, it can be expanded by interacting with it's center and changeing the X, Y and Z coordinates.

It's a column of water that can be used to build your own custom pools or lakes or sea areas. Use walls to make it look natural instead of a floating Minecrafty block of water. You can "use" the water block to change its size along the XYZ dimensions, like a staircase.

It counts as water for most purposes, so you can put fish traps inside (sea area count as sea, lake counts as lake, and so on), and the Mermaid can swim in it. Note that you can stick the mermaid wherever you want even without water. She just can't move around without water and will just "float" there (and teleport to you when she's a follower and you move too far).

Remember that "floating Minecrafty block of water" bit I mentioned earlier? Well, you can also make Minecraft-style water elevators with water blocks. Stack pillars on top of each other and then you can place water blocks one over another using the pillars as support. Entering the stack of water blocks from the bottom (only from the bottom, not from the top or sides) can let you rapidly ascend to the top by swimming upwards. It's a bit finicky to use though, and loses its speed advantage over staircases once you level your move speed up enough.

Another trick? You can place rafts on top of water blocks (or the stone pool building), and "using" the raft will give you a literal flying airship. This is best done with ranged followers (note that they can't hit anything if you're too high though). As a bonus, the raft can also be used to "shove" most mobs around by pushing into them. You can also use the raft's surface to build stuff, letting you build stuff in midair and ignore the "Build Block" restrictions around villages and boss arenas. Just be aware that anything you build will be left behind when the raft moves, so no flying bases unlike in Minecraft.

That's some interesting stuff... I would have never even considered doing anything like that.
