Maybe im playing a different game. The girl wake up at the beach, a few meters away I find a dude telling me the people here kidnapped the others and then nothing. Running around the beach, nothing. Running around the island, nothing. All I find is the other dudes in the north who kill me.
So you already met the locals, but somehow avoided the 2 minor villages with Level 1-5 Enemies you can use to Level up... or you did not bother gathering resources to craft tools and weapons before doing so.
Within the first 5 minutes and just moveing 1 screen away from your starting point in each direction should provide you with sufficient stuff to build a stone axe and pickaxe which allows you to create the wood workbench and finally a spear, which allows you to fight against any native force unless you go against the native boss in the far north.
This game is not handholding you... you are thrown in the wild and are expected to build your survival skills by getting tools and weapons which will allow you to unlock better equipment along the way and improve your survivalabilities even further.... the further north you go the more yu need this as enemies scal with MCs distant to their starting point.
If you expect someone to explain you what to do and how to proceed you should read the guide linked in the main post, the game won't do it for you.
If you'd need to restart the game to save them then it wouldn't be save compatible, by definition. Like someone mention, a workaround would be to replace the quest with a new one (and with new flags) so it becomes available to existing saves like any other updates. It'd still be clunky as it breaks continuity and since its an early fight, late game characters can probably one shot the boss, but well, the game is in beta for a reason.
There are Devs that remake early game Events quiet alot in beta games, even more around here, it's a benefit for people restarting the game to test tweaked mechanics and give feedback.
I hope they won't and simply adding an Event that handles the narrative as if you just now defeated the boss would break immercion buit would be the most likely scenario for this I gues... still I'd be willing to restart the game I gues... sure it'll hurt but than again it's fun to balance exploration and survival early on since later both get a hassle and trivial.
Yeah Mira. I mentioned her because befriending her could open a quest which leads to a new dungeon/area, maybe afterlife themed (either heaven, hell or both) and you could rescue them back to life - that sounds like something they'd do, even if it's not lore accurate (when did that ever stop them lol).
I atleast hope they won't do this.... this would be to surreal even for this game and like I said that's not really what Shinigamies are like.
Maybe read "Death Note" for some more Shinigami theme stories... the first season was quiet entertaining.
