iron is the least scarce ore in the game, sounds like you're just starting out and i don't wanna intrude on your journey too much but check out a cave as those rocks are consistent. Find a nice group of em and place a red flag there, mine them, leave cave, travel to flag, mine them, leave, etc.
Its been a while for me but I remember having an underground woman and 2 chickens servicing my milker, you can try putting multiple people on milking duty and see if that speeds thing up, otherwise just don't focus on it too much you'll build up a surplus before you know it plenty of other things to do in the meantime.

for mining or farming resources, you can just look for 2 locations with the resources you want to farm, place a flag on each, farm and then fast travel to the other location. Farm the 2nd location, then fast travel to the 1st one, resources should have spawned.
(So you dont need to exit cave before going to 2nd location).

If you do this with iron in the spider cave, you can get +100 iron in like a minute or so.

Currently, only arms can be crafted, but is it possible to add other body parts? For example, if you could use native body parts as materials to create body parts with the appearance of cyborgs or monsters, you could make a variety of androids. So I didn't misread when they said certain artwork was finish a while back, they just sit on them till it catches their attention again.
