I really don't understand native labor. It's so time consuming to prepare them for work, yet even a whole village can't produce that much as player can in five minutes.

Yeah, but there's much more content for the dude than Yona regardless.
Depends on what you are talking about... the ammount of Animations for Yorna outdo the one for man at the current time... but most are game over rape, while man has active rape/concencial ones

Also depends on what you task them with.
Native labor for example has no need to regrow resources, so you don't plant trees, wait for them to mature or reload/reenter caves in order to get iron and stone deposits... and there is no option for man or Yorna to take care of the animals and natives milkers in the responding facilities.
Heck it's also much better to let them farm, since you don't need to be bothered on wether or not crops mature to become seeds.
Sure while exploreing you can gather wood and some minerals... but the only food you can gather is meat, which still needs to be cooked regulary at the base to be consumed safely.
Haveing Natives do this stuff allows you to simply do the exploration and maybe get some more variety with your Workers and Guards.
And yeah gathering Diamonds normally is a pain in the ass, so haveing several mining sites (in the Chaos region as mentioned) is far better than to continuesly delve into the Ruins Dungeon

Well... the difference between followers and players is too drastic.
Farm and livestock seems handy, but in reality you don't need a lot of these recources. Raid buffs are pretty useless since you can smash attack everything by yourself with a proper weapon.
For simple eating, placing food box and appointing a few slaves to it will be enough. Even without it, I'm collecting around 30 meat each time I teleport to the main base, because there are always a ton of animal corpses: some got killed by natives, some impaled themselves at the wooden spikes.
Gathering wood and stone is not hard, and it will become much easier with upgraded abilities and instruments. Hold movement button and click to place, clock E to chop. Easy. I literally can fill every slot with 999 wood, when natives at that time will be barely at 200. Same with ores. You don't need to re-enter caves, you can place a flag and teleport to it - it'll reload location even if its five meters away.

But you can trade fighter orbs for diamonds. This thing is too overpowered, in my opinion.

Oh, yes, and the game is lagging if you have too much workers, so it's another win for manual gathering.
That said, I think they really need to buff natives

atleast for me it's also lagging when killing any Enemy with a hard attack, and collecting Orbs from hundreds of corpses after a raid is also a very tedious Job.
There are trade offs for each Option but generally haveing Natives gather resources allows the Player to concentrate on exploration and H instead.
And some resource gathering facilities in special areas produce excessivly rare ingredients aswell... like the excavation camp in the Swamp (Clay, Soil, Lianes and Mandrake), Or in the Dessert (Sturdy bones, Sand, Soil).
Sure the Player can waste an hour RL time in the Swamp to likely gather more of these Items... but yeah the Player is trapped in the Swamp the whole time, instead of exploring and maybe finding and recruiting unique NPCs... late game those facilities have a much lower value ofc, since ou'd have a stack of resources by the time... but for Mandrake and Diamonds for example it's still worth the time to tame (or breed) a workforce.

Mind you this is my personal opinion, but I'd rather reduce the grint in order to concentrate on the more enjoyable aspects of this hentai game... if you enjoy resource gathering this obviously would not be your cup of tea... also note that my MC keeps gathering resources all the time while exploreing.

if you enjoy resource gathering
I hate resource gathering, BUT you can speed up the game, so it's not a hour, It's five minutes at most. I'm struggling only with mandrake, so I placed around 15 people at the swamp to get it. The problem is that it's not enough, maybe 100 people will make a change. So, instead of enjoying the game... I'm busy with crafting boxes, wells, beds, workstations, collecting, taming and moving a ton of people etc. Personally, I prefer more going to dungeons or killing raiders than this. Can't say the same about searching for mandrake, but if I want it right now, I'll set speed to x4. It'll be nice if they have an increased chance to get rare resources.

???
Gathering Lianes and Mandrake requires killing enemies, so no matter how much you raise gamespeed that won't really help.
I have 2 excavation camps and 10 Natives in the Swamp which generates 1 Mandrake every 10-15 minutes on normal speed.
I go around all camps to gather what was produced since the last time, deal with a raid and forward any Quest left open to return... normally I can gather 3-5 Mandrake (I also have 25 Natives in the Chaos region 5 gathering wood/hardwood and 20 gathering Iron and dimonds btw).
In one hour RL time and no focus on resource gathering I can already fill 1 resourcesslots for the basic stuff (999 Units) and 5-10 units of the rarest items.
And in that time I impregnate my current workers and let them give birth to get another batch max tamed workers to upscale my operations...
So from my point of view it takes a while to get the first line of workers running, by stunning a group of high Level raiders, tame and impregnate them, but afterwards it's a self supplying production line.
