I just so happen to have over 700+ unused Blue candle lamp and suitable to use it to count and mark each of the FAKE Mandrake grass
So when there is an actual Mandrake? it will be unmarked and you can identify with that image I provide to check if it is a Mandrake or an unmarked Fake mandrake grass
This trick is definitely not for everyone
For me, it's an easy spot to my eyes + I am somewhat able to record and notice that Mandrake mainly spawns around this region more often
So let me rephrase my question, because I have a feeling we're not on the same wavelength
I saw that picture you posted, and while the difference is not immediately obvious, it's there. But, if it's there, if it's visible, it means you can spot it directly, so why use markers at all?
Or, to put it yet another way, I don't understand what the markers achieve?
No I have not killed the native boss. I haven't done much venturing outside the area you spawn in. Been trying to get my camp set up first but I am struggling getting my Villagers water with only 1 well.
I suppose I need to look for that boss first? I am really trying to avoid the story until I have a comfortable supply of equipment and stuff, but what do you recommend? Do I bite the bullet and just explore?
Another thing, I am a harem master... it's in my blood. Without many spoilers, is it possible to romance all the girls (excluding Yona, which as far as I am aware she is WIP) at the same time? like maybe rescue them and having them all in the camp for myself?
Honestly, I think you're making things harder on yourself. Most of us ended up moving our base at some point. That beach front is a good place to start but it's frankly not ideal in the long run. Chances are you'll want to move. So I wouldn't recommend putting so much work into this base if it's to just tear it apart in a week, you know?
And also, when you finally decide to move your base, you'll need a blue flag. And like UnknownLurkingUser mentioned, to make that blue flag you'll need to defeat that native boss first.
I think, in that early stage of the game, it's best to focus on increasing your stats and skills so you get better at fighting. You can focus on base building later, once you're more comfortable with the game and how the mechanics work.
Anyway, that's my advice, for what it's worth
Oh, and as for building a harem, hell yes, totally doable. It'll take time to make them all love you (and lots of dancing) but yes. Just make sure your girls don't live next to personalities they clash with and you'll be gold.
