On the subject of murder, we need a more efficient way of removing undesirables. Taking them to the middle of nowhere and banishing them wastes time or food, and hanging them all is annoying, time consuming and leaves corpses you need to dispose of. Just let us put people we don't want into the flesh collector and grind them up on the spot. Saves time, food, and only uses a little HP.

Just set up a guillotine next to the flesh collector. Enemy raids also don't seem to attack it, never did at least in my case.

Disappearing overtime might be a thing, but as was my initial issue, it takes time to send them elsewhere, and keeping them in your base just takes up space and can get you mixed up.

A banished NPC just stands there, doing nothing, so it'd be hard to get them mixed up, especially if you drop them in a somewhat isolated spot of your base (you could even have a dedicated space for that if you often banish friendlies).

Now unless it works differently in the MC's base, that one time I dropped a banished char in an enemy village, I stood there and watched with the drone, and the character disappeared rather quickly (I'd say within a minute or two). So I think the easier solution would be to just drop them and ignore them. They'll likely be gone by the time you check on them again. Worth trying out, I think, at the very least

But I agree a better system would be nice. Perhaps a banished character could run away crying or something like that. It'd make more sense at least.

My issue isn't about getting rid of them to begin with, it's more a matter of efficiency and return investment.

Using execution devices is slow and banishment earns you nothing in return. Hence the idea for the flesh collector.

Reading some of the Steam reviews, is the game THAT demanding in terms of performance? 32gb or ram for max, seems to be reaching bit.

Also, I was wondering, can I choose to play female protagonist only?

I mean, you could simply not play with the male protagonist. You can move him around, and he doesn't do much beyond guarding wherever your base is, and no obligatory content is outright locked behind him. If you use him for the content he is restricted to, you get some unique female NPCs and one Male unique NPC, but beyond that you can mostly ignore him.

You should still find time to train him, since his restricted content involves some fighting, so he should at least not crumple to a gentle breeze. He also shares skills with Yona, so any skill progress she makes is shared by him.
Aside from the above listed, he is a man, and can impregnated Native Women and Native Girls, but seemingly only when you're in control of him, so you can use him to expand your population if you're keen to save on materials.
He is also the only way to get the Young Man NPC type, as his sons will be this type when they are fully grown (using the same model and animation as he does, just attached to a native AI)

This is untested by me, but I've heard that if your pets become unable to tolerate another NPC, they will become unable to interact with you, only attacked. If a ally big foot or werewolf down Yona, they supposedly can grab her.
Reminder: I've not tested this.
As far as I know, there is no talk option to initiate sex with them either.

I don't know about 32GB, but what I can tell you is that my CPU runs like crazy every time I play the game. It won't even start if I have under ~8GB of disk space left (used for swap) on my hard drive, but otherwise it'll run fine even if the sound of the CPU can be annoying.

On the plus side I've rarely noticed any lag, despite how resource-hungry the game can be.

Also, I was wondering, can I choose to play female protagonist only?

Depends if you only want to stick to the sandbox/survival aspect or if you actually want to play the main quest.

Parts of the main quest require that you use the male character (they'll show with a red gem on the map). So you'll need him for those at least... and you'd better keep increasing his attributes if you want him to have a chance against the bosses.

Actually, yes. Once affection gets high enough, Yona can consensually sleep with Male Natives, Elder Brother Natives, Big Natives and Small Natives. (The short fat ones who throw firebombs.)
Yona cannot get pregnant or give birth though.

The combat is like don't starve, where it mostly revolves around kiting, Baiting the opponents to swing, stealing your hit, then backing off with north/south positioning being quite strong. You can make shields to stand and tank, and some enemies can target your stun gage and knock you out. It's simplistic in the regard that once you understand an opponents attack patterns, you can more or less, take care of them with little issue, and you get three health gages before you go down.
