The "middle pink bar" is a myth. It's just a graphic glitch where transparencies are overlapping. It's just where the 'floor' of the room ends, or another bed overlaps the bar in the background.

No, Man and Yona can't have sex together. Honestly Yona feels more like the protag and I feel her event are the more story based ones.

Toilets can be crafted (either hand crafting or wooden bench, and there seems to be a third model I haven't seen yet). To get them to work, you need to put a woman inside. Well, in practice, only her top side goes in, and the bottom side sticks out to be used.
It is fine if she is not domesticated.
It is not clear if the women can get pregnant this way.
You can use DLC women with it.

Then, men (including male protagonist) can use the toilet. For your villagers, it should be within their territory, they should be using it automatically when their libido gets high.
