Okay, so I've been reading some of the comments here regarding the new update(s)... I have a save from right before I fight the native boss; is that save safe to use with this new version or am I better off starting a new one?

The native boss will respawn if you have killed it at any point, even after you have cleared or beaten him before the girls were able to be rescued.

So basically you can play on a already finished or near completed run and just revisit to complete this content anyway.

You need to leave holes in your walls. Enemy AI is stupid and can't pathfind inside anyway; most of the time they'll attack your walls regardless. Use wooden spikes (backed by archers, they can shoot over spikes) or cactus walls and watch as the enemies kill themselves on your walls.

Alternatively you can use pillars, stairs and stone benches as indestructible walls. You can use interactables like beds, houses or rafts as makeshift doors as they teleport your character to them when you use them. Using natural terrain like cliffs to your advantage can also help as they act as natural impassable walls.

If you build your base in caves or over water, raids will just flat out fail to start if they happen to target an NPC inside them. Or you if you happen to be inside one.

Another alternative is to build Leaf Dolls or Leaf Mascots to reduce the number of raiders. Reduce it to 0 or below and raids won't start.

You can also manipulate where a raid occurs. This is usually done with a decoy charm (drops from the guard miniboss when rescuing a "swept away" friendly) to force to raid to always target a specific NPC. Said NPC can be set on survivor AI to make them functionally immortal (except to Death's AoE aura) and be surrounded by huge numbers of needles/spikes/etc. to kill or weaken enemy raiders. The rest of your base can be open air if you want.

You lose 10% of the XP you need to get to next level each time you die. This can go into the negatives. You won't actually lose a level though but it can make getting to the next level harder.
Hmm, that is helpful. Though I am talking about Day 1 stuff, I don't have any archers or helpers at all. I also don't have the option to craft most of these items I think. But I do have the wooden spikes, I guess I will try to make those and see if the enemies will kill themselves on it? My current base was half wood half stone and they just hit the walls until it broke.

Edited my post while you replying, oopsie. Anyway, on Day 1 you likely only run into 3~4 (maybe 5) natives that can be dealt with manually with just the basic spear (craft from wooden workbench) without any base building needed. 5 whacks should be enough to do them in, or 2 heavy attacks and one normal hit.

If combat still feels awkward (because of how counterintuitive the aiming feels since the hitbox doesn't line up with the animation when you're aiming anywhere that isn't directly left or right), build 8~20 wooden spikes around the character that you aren't controlling and defend the base from there. Leave an opening to the south. Run into this area when a raid occurs, the enemies should be aggro'd when they take damage from the spikes and you can just hit them from the sides while they're distracted.

Or you can just run into a cave and hide from a raid.

So after saving the girls from the Native Boss and speaking with them.. what am I supposed to do then? I'm asking cos its been some time since I played this game and I'm quite lost with all the new content.
1: (if you haven't already) Capture an Old Woman and have her make a new shirt for Kana(2 cloth)
2: talk to the girl somewhere northwest from the native boss arena
3: accept the request to bury her friend's body
4: (if you haven't already) save Cassie and ask her to join your party
5: enter the north mine and exit through the northeast door
6: (if you didn't have Cassie in party) = bad ending, you just bury the body
6b: (if you have Cassie in party) = she will offer to try and resurrect Lulu
7: collect all the materials (1 core, 1000 flesh, 100 strong bones, 3 liquid fish)
8: resurrect Lulu and talk to Kana.

I mean, it's so cheap to erect this basic defense at the start and it can be repaired with minimal costs. So just AppalingBlue said, you can just add spikes and they will die over time. This is what I did when I started playing for the first few days of trying this game out. They eventually die before the wall breaks, especially if your main base is at the beach. Using stone walls is also cheap and holds out longer for the small raids.

Once you can relocate your base, yeah, building the main base in the cave and having a NPC holding a decoy charm will stop all future raids at that point.

Personally, for me, I just went with no defence and letting the male character deal with random scouts while I speed run in getting the end game workbenches to accelerate personnel equipment and setting the terms of the raid. I managed to do this under 10 to 15 in-game days.

However, if the alternative way is to just speed run and get the plant workbench and build that statue to minus raid numbers to the negative, and there will be no raids, only scouts and their level is based on your location of your base.

that is the most anticipated feature based on reading this thread.
so naturally it will never happen.
I don't know about that, while there is no guarantee, Ton (the developer) has said:

"Starting next month, I'll be switching things up a bit and
creating a side quest for Yona and the male protagonist. Maybe Yona's pregnancy too?"

And we know it is certainly planned, and some illustration and software development work has already been done. And now it looks like he might be making a real push toward making it available.

Is it possible to have a mod where once the male player is downed, female natives dom them?

Don't need mods, just need to fight and lose against a Large Female Native. They're the amazon-like warriors who appear only in (level-boosted and flower totem'd) raids.

There's also another dom scene with the Mummies in the dungeon ruins.

Please tell me, are there plans to add hentai scenes with old men or young boys? Otherwise, I don't see the point of playing as a girl in this game. Or is there some kind of unofficial add-on that adds this, or are male NPCs mostly just useless dicor?

I'm aware of those. I am just asking with regards to the standard ones.

Not possible without someone to rig the movement.
I am wondering whether it is possible to do this by using already existing animations - no need to create new ones until the developer actually does so.
