If dev activity didn't decrease as patreon subs increased I'm sure there wouldn't be so much yapping about how long it takes.

And even if that's not true and the update windows don't change the impatience is magnified either way. Get people hyped for something and when you don't deliver, they'll talk about it.

Does anyone still have the older versions of the game and can share? Or at least the resources/images? I'm curious how the models for the characters evolved over time.

EDIT: In the meantime I found some myself. Will update as I find more.

v0.5.1
v0.3.0
1.1, 2.1, 2.2 but in Portuguese these are only patches sadly

You might want to read the post from the dev that was just a couple posts before yours.

I'm still sad the comments on the itch page were taken away, before it got all toxic it was funny as shit. These are catching up fast tho.

I don't think there's anything wrong with holding a dev to their promises. The post you're talking about says "the next few days" as of Tuesday, which is being pretty generous to stretch all the way to Saturday, and likely even longer.

I'd honestly rather be given no word at all than be given semi-specific timelines and all of them be missed. Probably the best way to shut up the annoying assholes like me though would be to just specify the progress made and provide some proof. I assume the patrons are getting that, but I don't know, and that lack of trust and clarity is why I'm not one of them. I'd be happy to toss 10 or 15 bucks at this game on Steam or Itch, but I'd like to get the full game sometime this decade.

Saying 4 days is a stretch from a few days is pretty pedantic.

That's more than the two or three days most people would understand that to mean, and I'd bet folding money we don't get it today either. It's another broken promise. That's not being pedantic, Hatchet has burned any goodwill around their promises.

Nah that's the autistic sperging that causes devs to shut up and never promise anything. I'd rather have the dialogue.

Maybe they should stop making promises, devs who actually treat the people following their games worse by having entire years between updates with no posts about it get less shit.

That's... literally what I said? No promises, just updates. If that's autistic sperging, then sure, I'm the autistic sperglord. But frankly, I don't give a shit what some anon on the internet thinks.

A post on Patreon has been published (November 1st) stating that the alpha build began testing on October 31st, a few days later from the announcement as I stated it would happen, and right now the update is in process of being polished (bug-fixing, typos, and adding music/sounds).

Multiple users who have already tested it have even shared their opinions via Discord with the community.

Update is coming out in November.

I already spent the equivalent of one Silksong on this game. So I'm excited to see it go back to being more fun to interact with then this thread.

Woohoo.
