Yes, nobody is playing it for the story and gameplay, but because it has outstanding story and great gameplay along with astonishing H-elements it is considered by a lot of people of one of the best (if not the best) RPGM game of all time so far (it is only one in Kagura shop that has Overwhelmingly Positive rate), where Makina with good story and pretty decent gameplay is considered a very solid, yet not that special game.Lol what? I don't know what exactly the genre is called but the gameplay structure of running around doing a mixture of combat/conversations with repeated H-events that gradually increase in intensity as the heroine is corrupted is pretty similar.
Nobody's playing Celesphonia for the story and gameplay, it's a porn game dude. They're playing it for the collection of fetishes and structure of H-scene collection and H-mechanics which Makina fits to a tee.
Second thing is, that as far as I remember, Makina is mostly linear and you get more scenes as you progress main plot and you have only event/minievent scenes, while in MGC you can explore world more freely, you have traps/battle restrains, after defeat scenes, a lot more of (mini)events that are scattered around the game world - and as far as I understand this is what we are looking for - this is what Nihgtmare Knight is delivering, although is much smaller scale.
PS. Nice list you have there, I remember using it some time ago to check some games out
Not sure how you define differences between monster and beasts, but overally:Is this mostly human or monster or beast? Seems like a mostly human with some few of the later two?
for the main character mainly monsters/beast, some human scenes, would say about 70/30; you have a lot of human scenes for other characters, so to sum it up, it would be about 50/50
