EDIT: after some more search I think maybe it's just a genre rather than a specific game.

It was my first translation project and I was learning and developing all the tools as I went through the process. To be honest my only QA was my own playthrough. I did 2 more translations after this and learned a lot how to find and avoid softlocks. I'll do an extra pass on all the map files for this game and see if I can iron it out.

And yeh, save files for testing would be useful too.

I've just reached the photography event with the first fix you provided but the game still locks up when you enter the room. I've attached a zip with my save game, saved just before the entrance to the photography club.

EDIT to say that I've also encountered black screens after going to the massage parlour after completing that route of events

There is also a lock in the massage parlor if you use it after the massager has sex with you, as well as the lock in the photography club

i know what you mean
plenty of games have battlefuck too meaning you can get raped during battle, struggle, escape, and win, but some also feature game over scenes unholy jail does
so yea this game doesn't have battlefuck afaik, only game over events
as far as battle is concerned because it seems there's plenty of events unlocked in the story not related to combat?

pretty much another genre on its own, personally i've never liked it tbh
btw regarding celesphonia i fucking hate it XD, it's so overrated
the same 4 heroine poses with sticky monster figurine on her
same 4 poses for the entire game just different kind of goo on her
the same 4 cgs for the entire fucking game

I tested it on the original game and got the same result. It's something wrong with the switches either in the game itself or your save file. I don't know what part of progression you were at but I tweaked one of the flags in your save so it doesn't lock anymore. As for the massage area I don't see anything wrong with the code in this map file anymore. Could be the same issue with the save.
