Right, in free mode with the Free Ero mod, it kept telling me I could not use actions because the mc was dead or something.what?
what do you mean no MC?
But that fixed when I switched out the custom guy I made for the Theo in the guild.

On the sword dance, I think someone said this is a different version to the free ero mod that I used. We can check if we are talking about the same files if we check their hash (with the method I posted on the patch20 post), files patch9-11.xp3. That being said, afaik I didn't left any changed files behind, from both eng and free ero. Edit: except for, you now, if I messed up.Thought I would mention that the mod disables some of the features; from what I can tell, it disabled the sword dancer class and the shop. It may also have disabled the functions in the park, but I plan to test it another day.
If I notice anything else, I'll quote or ping your post. Spent 5 hours recoding the 8-party mod based on your mod and realised something was missing. Welp.
But then again, I think you coded the Free ero mod without the sword dancer class so... argh... damn this is complex.
I think a good rule of thumb would be to disable the patch20 and check if the error persists. If it does, then we know it's a pure jp ero mod bug thing. The eng translation (patch2) had only a few tweaks that were beyond just english translation and I tried to keep those, but I think disabling patch20 shouldn't mess up any save files stuff.Does anyone using the Ero mod get the curse script error when trying to equip Theo with a cursed item?
I used Meld, which helps to highlight where or when files differ:f95_user
If there is an easier way to merge the code for two different mods of code and minmise bug and conflicts. Let me know. I'm working on it via notepad++ and it's seems bleak unless I map it out with some kind of documentation.
I had 3 instances of Meld open. One I compared files from patch.xp3 to patch2; in another I compared files from patch to patch11; and in the last one, I compared files from patch11 to patch20, where the basis for the files of patch20 was just the patch2 (eng translation) files. If this may help someone, I used Meld to compare text files that various different mods would replace.
It's okay, patch 11 will be different for sure. Since it integrates the sword dancer modification in that patch. I was reviewing the file with notepad++ since I don't know any other tools to work with.On the sword dance, I think someone said this is a different version to the free ero mod that I used. Unfortunately, my learning git and Meld will be a long process as I'm still undergoing formal training in my professional field, just this time it will be under the employer's supervision. So, I won't be able to devote a lot of time to it. Still, it's worth a try and see how I go.I used Meld, which helps to highlight where or when files differ:

For reviewing, I used Meld's 3-way merge with free ero on the left, eng trans on the right and patch20 on the middle. This way I found it easier to check stuff out.
I started randomly, and it's very likely that I messed up some files before I took the pace. Maybe some lines that I thought just had comments on them, but they had some small change here and there. Ofc that can mess everything up, but oh well.

Chara.tjs have setup of icon positions for chara.f95_user
I don't know if this will ping you as a mention, but I need some advice on while tjs files did you edit to realign icon and HP bar for the 8 party mod.
I can't remember which lines I needed to edit to replicate it since I'm working with another mod to adjust it to my taste since I only want to expand the party from 6 to 8. So far I edited the party.tjs and managed to get it to 8 and used your background picture for it.
Now I'm trying to search the Health bar, status icon, job icon to realign it as well.
Also I suspect this affects treasure tjs on how it appears when you get a treasure chest.
And also how it appears in warehouse as well.
I can't remember which other ones I need to edit so I can code it in so it make it work kind of natural with 8 members in the game.
