Yeah, I get you, it’s not like I’m expecting some deep, emotional masterpiece here. But still, even for a porn game, a decent translation helps. Doesn’t need to be fancy, just not something that pulls you out of it. I’ve seen some trashy AI translations before, so I don’t really have a great impression of it. I know handmade stuff takes time, but sometimes it’s worth the wait if the game’s actually good.

While we are at it, someone recommend me a nice game with similar mechanics and art, maybe like leane. ;-;

Yeah, I believe that's the most important, as long as it's not "so bad it's distracting".

This one is not the same or even similar art style, but it is a dungeon crawler and has similar mechanics, like mid-battle fuck and sex stat progression and stuff (Not NTR tho), also it is fairly short in comparison to D&B

Common Linux L, on a serious note the Linux alternative for cheat engine is called Game Conquerer. Try that. There are good reddit threads on how to set it up or how to get cheat engine working on wine if you’re used to cheat engine’s interface.

Also memory tools like Cheat Engine or GameConquerer are not complicated at all. Seem scary at first but it’s very easy once you do it 2-3 times. Come back after you get it set it up and this thread can walk you through how to get unlimited gold, xp, attack, etc. If it’s a number in the game, you can modify it.

It is porn, yes, but its also NTR. The emotional component of NTR is integral to the fetish. And for the emotional component to be carried over correctly, you need a better translation.

But also, this isn't the usual RPGMaker RPG Lite slop, its an actual blobber with some proper gameplay. As a result of that, just a few mistranslated items or skills could actually fuck over a whole playthrough here.

At least, compared to the old MTL where you had to decipher each words, each phrases to even make sense of what the heck the actual message is, AI MTL is far and beyond more cohesive and comprehensible. Still certainly not as good as a proper human translation but it's enough to make me want to play the game asap instead of having to wait months or years for a proper translation. I certainly wouldn't play a game that was translated with the level of poetry of the old MTL.

I'm guessing it will actually release this month then release a big bug patch afterwards since there is a apparently a lot of the game that we don't see in the Demo releases. Or he's going to delay it again because of not getting all the voicework he needs in time.

I found some interesting things when I was overwriting the files.
In version 1.00, the author only deleted the texture files of the dwarves and elves, but did not remove the pointers when creating characters.
This caused the character creation to crash due to the selection of these two races without textures, and then the author corrected the pointers when creating characters in the 1.01 patch.
A relatively simple operation method can force the normal use of these two races in this version.
First unpack the data files of 3.0 or 2.0 (it is recommended to unpack 2.0 because the texture files are more complete) and then unzip the data files of 1.0, and then overwrite the data folder of 2.0 with the data folder of 1.0.
Then remove the data.xp3 and update patches in the 1.0 main body, and then move the overwritten data folder to the 1.0 main body, so that the two races that are not open can be created normally in this old trial version.
Those who are interested can study the collection of old trial version files provided before. There are some more distinctive problems in the old trial version that can be studied to pass the time before the official version is released.

And you would generally be correct. I imagine this game will get similar treatment as you described.

I believe the cyncism some people have has to do when you would not be correct. I'm not deep in the translating community but it is very similar to the western developer community (probably mostly the same people). Where-in some individuals will lay claim to a project, make a prototype, work on it a bit, then get into endless edit/development mode and never deliver a final product. Especially if money is involved (patreon, subscribstar, etc).

I for one am happy when we get both, a machine learning translation such as deepseek/chatgpt followed by a clean-up or actual translation. I remember the burn that one guy did with the hand-made translation of Into the Nightmare, where everytime he'd "report" on his progress it was ninety something percent, but there was no proof he was working on it at all and was likely stalling due to mental health issues (such as performance anxiety).
