The game revives guests / mercenaries with 1 HP when you enter a city. Full members are removed outright from the inn (but they'll lose hearts on MC if they're female). So Max is the only one you can negate this way.
It might be that simple, but from what i can see everything concerning post-marriage is written to operate as though you can only have one wife. The code might be incomplete though, both the newest and last demos don't actually have a point where being married stops you from progressing any heroine's storyline, at all. But you're not meant to see any of that anyway right now.
Well, even just Max can make a huge difference in terms of how things go. He'd be one less annoyance to deal with. You then just have to worry about otaku, and he'd be easy to contain on his own.
That said, if I'm not mistaken, the previews showed at least one other dude or something, so I suspect that the story may get more complicated as you move forward...
I'm also not clear on how many girl characters there are and when they get forced down your throat or now. Odds are that it'll be pretty easy to romance a generic girl you create in the guild. But I suspect characters like Riselle or whatever her name is might be
very hard to manage depending on how they're thrown in and out of your party and all that jazz.
Also, note to self. Should experiment with level-ups to see if save-scumming is a viable way to control stat-ups. It would be tedious as all hell, most likely, but possibly worth it if you want to turn a specific character into a total monster. (Probably the MC because he's the one you'll
always have in the party, which means he's the best to turn into a meat grinder.)
