I'll just post the text so as to not bloat the thread with too many screenshots.

I cought a "Rachel" a while ago. Or maybe bought her, can't remember. Anyway, she started off with some great stats and, after a bit of training, here's where we're at:

Age: 19
Dexterity: 75
Discipline: 54
Beauty: 97 (+12)
Charisma: 93 (+11)
Affection: Amiable
Acrobatics: 87
Dancing: 90
Performance: 95

Traits:
Bloodthirsty
Daddy Issues
Starlet
Extroverted

I went to Golden Dragon, talked to he owner:


Looking at the Jobs panel:

1. You can see there are no active assignments (no "Clear" button):


2. And you can see that all requirements are in green:


So? What am I missing?

Who do you think are the best candidates to become wives?

No brainer for me. If I only can have one, Aria.

I´m going to put her as a Chancellor. I want to be legally married to the Chancellor. In the game it would have no influence at all, but from a roleplaying perspective, it would matter a lot, I will became the First Lord of Ikaanos. And also I can properly show a big middle finger, with all the reasons, to Ezra.

If I can have more I usually limit myself to 4. Caitlin it´s also a must for me (after all, you don´t want that all your wives would be shameless whores ). Strong candidates for the other two places, Milou, Clea, Tori, Averil, Kelly and the StormChild.

Some minor issues in my game or the current version, I´m not sure.

1.- When you go to donate food to the orphanate in order to increase the prosperity, instead of giving 200 you are giving 400. Still you need to give it 10 times, effectively doubling the cost of the prosperity and of your influence gain.
2.- One of my 4 sons have 478 of fame. All the others, 28. And all of them have gone to exactly the same places and fight the same battles


3.-in the Jobs, the foreman of the mill it´s missing the info button. Not a big deal, but would be nice to know what it´s his skill and how many workers do you currently have


Just in case it´s of some use, I add a save of the game.

Now that is legitimately curious.

I can't think of a proper reason why it's not available, as long as no one else is doing the job already.

Any chance you sold a slave that was assigned to the job?

Maybe try on a new save and see if the problem persists.

I can see 2 reasons, the first one would be if another slave is already assigned to the job, the other would be she's older than 45.
I also wonder if her clothes would be an issue as Golden Dragon requires New Eden, Loin or Wrap dress to take a girl on a date, I guess it would be the same to perform?

Clothes are not a requirement for the job.

And the girl in question is probably Rachel Stapleton, who most certainly is not over 45.

Only legitimate reason I can think of is that someone else is already doing the job, but he said that wasn't the case, so I'm stumped.

I kinda roleplay it, like I'm trying to sow chaos in the world before Aria takes over by supporting low control via News Office and other decisions.

And after she takes over, high prosperity, high control and yes, high liberty.

How does one achieve the industry lord achievement? I've tried buying the empty plots in redhaven and turning them into workshops, also bought the properties at town hall and have one workshop in my garden, what am I missing?

You need 4 workshops I believe. So 2 workshops in your yard and 2 more split between the external lots and the yard.

Hmm yeah if you don't have anyone else assigned like you said earlier, then that seems like a bug. Might want to upload the save and maybe someone on the dev team could take a look. My only thought would be that maybe someone is marked as being assigned to that job even though they're not in your household anymore

Stand corrected.

About the liberty subject, I don´t care a fig about it. If freedom go over the roof, I would have trouble keeping slaves that are not convicts, isn´t it?. Well, a good chunk of my slaves ARE convicts, so no big deal. And if I must give freedom to some of them and keep them as servants, the only difference it´s that I can not assign a Slavemaster to him/her. As it will happen late in the game, my (former) slaves would be fully trained, so, again, no big deal. At all

An about the corruption matter, I don´t like high corruption. I don´t like low corruption either. Middle ground it´s what I like. Most of my slaves are in the 50-60 corruption score, and that´s quite fine for me.

About the subject of control, low control it´s something that you need in the first stages of the game. You need a lot of slaves to fill the ranks of Aria rebellion, and when your workshops are not at full speed the bandits are a big source of income. But latter, they are a pain in the ass. I don´t find interesting or any fun in going for 234th time to clean Stoke Hill of the Cellior Looters, so after overthrowing the government I strive for high control.

Prosperity? High, of course. I don´t see any drawback on it or any advantage in low prosperity.

I haven't paid too much attention to liberty so far so I'm not sure how much effect it has if you push it hard in 1 direction or another but you'll have an easier time boosting the slave count at Fort Sera and/or Aria's rebel faction if you have low control because it increases bandit spawn rate. So I would say early in the game, low control is objectively superior.

Once you have more slaves than you need donated to Fort Sera and Aria's rebels and you have a massive passive income from factions coming in, you can eliminate a huge penalty to your income and replace it with a huge bonus to your income by pushing for high control instead of low control. Bandit respawn rate will decline, but from a financial perspective you're still better off.

Prosperity there's not really any ambiguity as far as I know. Low prosperity is always bad. High prosperity is always good.

Corruption is kind of personal taste. Low or zero corruption makes your girls less willing to do certain sex related stuff, especially prostitution. You can overcome that by beating their willpower down to 0 but then you basically have a mindless sex slave with no personality. Mid to high corruption allows you to kind of get the best of both worlds and have a girl who still has a personality (at mid to high willpower), while still being down for whatever sexual BS you have in mind due to her corruption. So for a game like this, usually high corruption is better than low corruption. There is 1 notable downside to super high corruption for slave masters though, once you exceed a certain corruption threshold (90 I think) a slave master training sex skills will cause sexual wear in everyone she's training. Below that threshold she will train sex skills without any sexual wear.

Upload your save file here or in discord bug reports channel. There is an old fixed bug with the performer job where you can assign multiple multiple girls using the followers option and maybe how that bug was fixed affected you.

I wonder how Caitlin got that reputation of being pure when she is the most explicit among all the girls in recounting her few sexual encounters. Like, yeah, she did not have as much sex as Rachel for example but Rachel tells her story as a matter-of-fact while Caitlin really goes into detail about this one noble she could not wait to have sex with and how she got seconds afterwards. And then a third with his maid.

Not to disparage Caitlin though. I married her. Her quest endeared me to her and she's a pretty well balanced individual.

You have a point here. But, as I usually build my first workshop at day 2 (regular start, grimdark, dying world), with the generous help of the bank, I have a good source of income very early and far before I can get a good food source

2. hmm thats strange i dunno about that one , but Grim is gunna overhaul the offspring engine at some point relatively soon in upcoming times, its higher up on the list
