You don't pay for the game. You say the Dev should focus on art. Many of us who do pay for the game say game play is of greater importance than focusing solely on art. So, tell me again, what should Dev focus on to make more money?

That said; the Dev of MoR has his own vision. He's pursuing it. This game is his creation. Not yours. Not mine. So far his creation has attracted a good fanbase that is financially backing him.

Ya, my view of the world is ignorant. I believe if a Dev has created a game based on his vision and is financially succeeding he should follow through with his vision. You, with your firm grasp on how the world works, believe the Dev should listen to and alter their vision/creation based on someone being vocal and whining on a free website.

It's incredibly contrived to try and silence someone by saying that they are not supporting the game so their opinion doesn't matter as if that makes any sense. Do you need to be fascist or communist to critique them? Do you need to taste shit before you say that it doesn't taste good? It's a free country and this website is free so I can say whatever I want and only the moderators have powers over me. Not even the dev is in some magical way more right.

Never tried to silence you. Pointing out flaws in your logic is not trying to silence you.

The Dev replied directly to you, lol. But ya, just dig in further and keep telling everyone, including the Dev, that your definition of the game is correct and everyone else is wrong.

GD is one of the most proficient devs on the site, got the game successful so quickly because he knew what he wanted and did so in a relatively short time, and he continues to balance the gaming elements with the porn ones while gaining an audience.

Don't need idiots suggesting easy childish takes like "YoU NeEd MoRe PoRn PiCs" without understanding how to implement it effectively in the game and also admitting he refuses to support the dev.

Can't provide a solution, can't provide support, but continues to whine about things he barely grasps - that's the tar for you.

This isn't directly relevant to the ongoing argument but I got curious and looked it up so I am subjecting everyone else to it as well.
The 'Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt' (and its myriad variations) is one of those phrases which is commonly attributed to figures like Lincoln and Mark Twain.
The earliest know appearance of the modern version of the phrase is from 'Mrs. Goose, Her Book' from 1907 and is thought to be the origin of the modern version of the phrase.

Of course, all versions of the phrase are thought to come from a passage in the Bible of similar sentiment.

That aside, having played the new update a fair bit I have to say it is pretty enjoyable, the system with slaves and issids being unified did take a bit of getting used to but is certainly neat, the changes to the house and its upgrades are cool and it feels much more our own space rather than a linear set of strict upgrades to specific rooms, it also does a better job of conveying the scale and scope of our 'little' estate.
Also the new character creation is interesting, a lot of flexibility and the emphasis on opening out the process of creating ones build is cool, the sheer amount of shineys proves ever tempting, I can definitely see first time players shying away from it though as it does require you to make a lot of decisions which will shape your future build in ways that a first time player are not really going to understand, but I guess that is why the pre made options are there.

I wonder if Felix, Space Marine, Black Guard, or Corso as captain provides all the same effect. I assume all five of these high profile mercs are good at baseline but there may be differences in effect. Time to see.

Happiness is made easier too. Although my house reverted back to dilapidated state and I did not notice it so my house sucks but I got the pool updated. That's something. Time to saveedit the house back to a decent state like it was pre-patch. The bare luxuries I enjoyed before.

Auto shower is now a toggle option. Perfect. My kind of cheats: auto shower and freeze aging. And the house basic upgrade I guess.

Time to test the slave mistress function.

I was scared Laika's stats I worked hard on was going to revert when she was reverted back. Nice. It did not. Also, that is actually the lowest natural Kissing XP stat: 5. Even Lovisa started with 15. Fun fact: I held off sleeping with Laika for all of 0.8.2.3. That should actually give me +5 Willpower stats irl :cool:

In my defense I stopped replying when you stopped replying. Someone decided to reignite convo and here we are.

I try to remind everyone that my thoughts are only that, BUT it's obvious that this game would benefit more from art and animations than some religion mechanic. Sort the games on f95 by popular and I can guarantee you you won't find many games like this one on the first page(even if you display max number of games per page).

Just because someone is critiquing something you like or suggests ideas that you don't like doesn't mean that you have to try and stop him. It's just opinion. If you don't care about what I have to say just stop replying. You won't change my opinion. I won't magically start thinking that less art and more fluff will benefit the game.

2. You don't remind people of "your thoughts". You make a definitive statement, then back off and say "I have a right to have opinion, quit trying to silence me" as soon as your statement is criticized.
3. You say "opinion" and without a pause follow with "BUT it's obvious" and give an opinion. See the issue?
4. Ever consider this game might be popular BECAUSE there are not many others like it?
5. Quit pretending to be a victim. It's pathetic. No one tried to stop you. Even when the Dev replied to you and clearly contracted you; Even he didn't ask you to quit posting.
6. You have a right to your "opinion" just as others can critique your opinion. Of course, it helps if you would base your opinion on facts. You base your opinions on the false premise that this is a "porn game". That undermines everything you post.
7. The game is succeeding by following the Dev's vision.
