I want to be able to play some of the swf(flash) games while being able to skip through the game instead of doing the stupid minigames. Bakaloader has been broken for me and I can't get it to work even after following baka's instructions to uninstall flash and reinstall with windows 7 compatibility mode. How do you guys do it?

MnF games used to run on flash in its hayday. Nowadays flash its not a choice (thx Adobe) so now they use html to run their games on their browser. Bc of that youll find this when extracting their games now:

This has been the norm since around mid-2020, i think. PThere are only ~30 games with this format and previous games are still .swf files, so they can be opened by flash players. To play them, you have to create a localhost and launch the game on a browser. Its simpler than it sounds. The exe you fund must've been the Start.exe that does just that: it launches the game on your default browser.

However, it has a dumb flaw: As you feared, it doesnt really just do that. It also opens a website to a filehost, where you can download the full mnf library. Doesnt sound too bad but first that isnt something it should do willy nilly and second, that filehost is fucking hitfile (need a membership to download stuff). So no, dont run that exe file.

, extract it in the game folders and click one of the Start_Game.bat files to play, depending of which browser you want. Theyre batch files, so you can read their commands and know theyre safe and trustworthy.

The only reason flash is a problem-maker now is because it's dead. It had no problems before Adobe pulled the plug on its life support, but now that isn't getting (official) updates, vulnerabilities are basically "learn once, use forever" deal now. But everyone knows the deal with software like Flash: Use it right, and it will play nice. Don't go just opening any old thing in flash and expect flowers and rainbows... Unless you really don't care about your computer.

The best place to troubleshoot bakaloader is here. The dev himself helps you fix it and 99% it works. Read the thread thoroughly before posting, perhaps someone got the same issue you have now.

, and thats not for flash games nor is it an extraction software. Theyre files used to run the new html5 games, bc mnf hasnt used flash since Q3 2019.
Also, as the other comment said, while flash has always been a security risk, we have a curated list of tested and proven safe swf games. So dont download random bullshit on sketchy websites and youll be fine.
