Click into chapter 1, do whatever event pops up and it will load up the correct chapter since if you look at the stats on the left they match where you were at.

There is no bug release actually, the dev is working on it but didn't delivered it yet.
Read the previous posts, you'll find a message (posted by an awesome blue avatar with a G in the middle) he left on his Patreon concerning this bug.

There is an issue with save games. I'm working on it and plan to publish a bug fix release within days.

I think that fix might solve the issue you're having as well. At least, it will be helpful when debugging.

Go to the previous save and then start again if it's possible, or you've to start again from chapter 1, I already faced it for twice and then at the 3rd time i completed successfully these quests
