KPOP - In this context, it would be disingenuous to construe the writing as prejudicial when the author is clearly attempting to convey a speaker having undergone some form of oral surgery and experiencing an emotion as strong as fear.
The reader "reads" in their own voice, not the narration of the author or spoken by an actor. We bring our own thought structures to it.
My thought is that I'm finding Kpop "odd", that's a bad description and no reflection on the author but the best I have at the moment.

If the Inspector is telling the truth, then the fingerprints belong to Seferi. Inferring that Roan Gjoka is Seferi in disguise and that Joanna is married to Seferi. That would match Joanna (as Theodora) saying her husband was in Crete.
