Using the choice menu for "actions" isn't a choice. If a story doesn't change even with those it would still be kinetic, just hidden. Not saying this one is, but it wouldn't change anything in the end.
The single action clicks are pointless. The next part of the scene is going to happen no matter what anyway, so why make the player "choose" to do it? The MC will always call his friend, will always find the key etcetera.
