using the mtool translator gives me errors, i would definitely appreciate a translation.

Which errors does it show? (if you can SS the error) On my end, it works fine, so we might be able to diagonose and solve the issue on your end.
No, but she (and a lot of others from this game!) have new scenes in short stories that Circle Tekua have posted. A lot of them can be found in their dedicated thread. I think the only ones missing (in terms of Melbre girls) are the orphanage girl, the priestess, and the popstars.
I updated to version 2.01. sry does anyone have a fan translation yet? queue.

All good on my end, upgrading to level 2 mtool fixed issue it appeared, thank you though
Does anyone know if the original translator is up to doing this new update aswell?
New update dropped v2.1 which has new characters. Can we get a hero?
Yes. I played the game. I understand that you can play as a cat boy or a cat girl. I don't like playing as a cat period. I also understand that other people feel differently.

I like the game. But it only has a 3.5 rating. Maybe it would get a higher rating if it was easier to identify with the protagonist.

No, I don't think the character choice has anything to do with that, I think that's just a personal thing with you, and that's ok. Catboys, and especially catgirls are extremely popular.
Hell, kemomimi (half beast, half human characters you see all the time, also refered sometimes to demi-humans, demi human goes past just kemomimi though), are extremely popular too.
If a person having to have a mirror image of a character is something that is a detriment to you, or stops you from playing a game completely, that's really sad.
I've related (I don't use identify), with tons of characters from lots of different games, animes, and movies, I don't need a mirror image for that.

So, you have no problem identifying (excuse me, relating) with protagonists who are women and futa and shota and little girls. I'm not looking for a mirror image. I still play the other games as well. I usually comment on games that I like, but that I think could be better. I don't try to speak for everybody. Eroticism is a very personal matter. The game only gets a 3.5. I think it is better than that. So, I'm trying to guess why. I know that another aspect of the game is the mixture of childlike playfulness and utter horror. I wish it didn't try to be so cute. My favorite circle-tekua game is the lewd tower. I just love all the broken field running that you have to do. Lilith in Nightmare was also very good.

Relating is what I used for a character/s for many aspects of them.
Here's an example for you, in this one anime, this character was struggling to figure out what to do with their life, I RELATED to that character because it was something I had also went through//am going through (yes this is a common struggle with people, there are more but I'm avoiding them to give away personal info about me).
No, I don't mean the disingenuous "identifying" you're saying here, which, you cherry picked some pretty extreme examples.
That's great that you like other games by the same developer/group, I wasn't even being very "mean", I just don't understand why people complain about very obvious things they cannot change, so why bother doing so, as if you can?
I'd assume with the 3.5 star ratings, you mean on this thread, based on reading the reviews, almost all of them if not all of them, are complaining about the rpg elements of the game, and some other reasons.
Also, it's got 4-5 stars on dlsite. I wouldn't take what this forum is putting/reviewing that seriously/personally, opinions are subjective, and just because one site may have a pretty different opinion than the other, doesn't mean it's the one that views it lower is the majority opinion on said game.
