Small news update for update 0.10 & 0.11.
May 30th we'll be looking to have the next updates released, with update 0.11. It will cut down on the file size greatly compared to update 0.10. (1.13GB vs roughly 200-300MB)
Much work has been going into adjusting images and older sections in the game this month, the major concern from it was file size being too large. Wishing to future proof it and compress things without losing out on the quality either, testing to make sure visually in the game it looks good still and working as intended. The other bonus is that much older sections text/dialogue mostly within days 1-5, but some in days 6-7 felt a bit dated and could use a little touch up to help things, along with fixing typos or small text issues.
One thing planned still, but it isn't 100% is to get rid of the cg placeholder screens where cg scenes are meant to be seen. This will only happen to scenes that aren't seen as major story, important style cg scenes. For example day 5's punishment events is considered major story or important, while Miki tripping over in day 1 section 3 would be classified as extras. (extras are planned to be included, but priority will be with the other scenes first. Once finished, extras will be worked on.)
Sadly and it's mentioned in the update 0.10 changelog from last month, Erika and Nova's final sprite designs aren't showing up until update 0.11. Along with Rachel's final sprite design. (Heather's final sprite design is targeted for update 0.12) I didn't delay adding the new designs in 0.10 on purpose, more that by the time things were done for said update. At best I'd be able to add their new designs into days 13, 14 & 15. But for new players not aware of things going on, they'd wonder why days 1-12 they look one way before looking different, etc.
While much work is still going into update 0.11 currently before release, I can't touch on the content too much. I would say this.
If you try update 0.10 out on May 30th and enjoy the type of choices, outcomes, unlocks, etc. Update 0.11 expands on this, but expect a six option choice.
In other news before I go quiet again until release of update 0.10 for the public. I'd like to remind everyone that plans for kickstarter launch are underway and it's not 100% confirmed yet. But I'd like to have it launched by the end of June, but I am aware of the corona related situations and want to make sure it's a good time to launch, along with keeping both supporters, followers and fans updated on news before the launch. Currently we're looking to get a video trailer done sometime next month and show off some of the physical merch from backing the kickstarter. (character standee's are in creation, more previews of this to come soon. Next is a special cg quality poster, art for this will be posted in June. Leaving body pillow art undone as far as physical things go.)
