Ah, yes, another fucking dark souls of platformers. The save points are way far apart and the bosses are annoying af until you learn the patterns.

Yeah, this is pretty difficult. I got lost and got wrecked by a slime boss. It suffers from the same problem Lab Still Alive 2 had with extremely huge areas with tons of difficult mobs. Hard to progress if you don't know where the save spots and power-ups are.

Hoping some chad manages to 100% this and share a save.

There are saves near every boss but the issue is they are stupidly easy to miss. Always check each room for a save room. Never progress down a tunnel until you are sure you didn't miss a save room. The plant boss save room is literally below the tunnel the tunnel that leads to the boss. Likewise the slime boss save room is in alcove in the vertical drop tunnel.

...so how does one beat that first slime boss in the base? Broke, like, 6 of its tentacles with HP and after that said screw it.
Just shoot it. Bosses for some reason don't show damage numbers but they do in fact take damage from weapons fire. All the bosses have a mechanic that drops health and ammo for you.

I beat the game but the gallery for the sprites doesn't unlock unless you die to the enemy, to beat the final boss' first phase you have to knock the blue bombs towards it until the core it has is exposed, then you just shoot it since it just seems to just stand there and do nothing. The second to last boss can be cheesed by staying in melee range and dodging towards it with the roll when it attacks and attacking inbetween.

Don’t the developers of such games understand how scary it is when you have to die on every enemy in order to see porn scenes, and certainly not in the game itself, but only in the galleries?

This games suffers from a very new wave of developers. The developer may not know, or care for the matter that they are damaging the community of H-Games, and causing issues with excitement revolving these games.

Alice In Cradle, Fragments, and other "finished" H-sidescrollers and beat em' ups have released this way. They are made to be hard on purpose because they want the "soulslike" respect of certain players who are willing to put up with it. The thing with soulsborne games is that they're rewarding to a certain degree, and most challenge stems from your build crafting and skill ceiling... Logical skill ceiling. You see a boss winding up an attack, dodge, you're at range, shoot, etc... then you can improve on that and make a unique playstyle and fight bosses YOUR way. Which is why those games feel so personalized because of the fact you can beat the enemies in whatever way you want, and even depending on what you do against certain bosses change your difficulty. You can sink hours exploring builds, areas, and whatever else in those games.

Here, it's different. Developers prefer you play one way, and it's what they find fun. This impacts H-games terribly, since we as a community like being able to play seriously one day and then just play one handed the next. They intend you hold you captive endlessly exploring a map with respawning enemies for a gameplay loop, and this that and the third with scaling and a bunch of cool gameplay elements for some random indie game you'd find on steam... but not a game that should be here. These are Steam releases, for players who enjoy challenges, or YouTubers showing skills and impossible feats. Not for us who just like seeing a protag win sometimes, lose usually in a erotic way and then call it a day.

It's not like the devs don't know what good H-games are... It's been a thing for years now and it seems like the magic that used to be there is gone now.

Project X Love Potion, Mystic Knight Maya, Guilty Hell 1, NightOfRevenge, BARRAGE!, Captivity, MaxTheElf, OhSoHero, Rignetta's Adventure, ErisDysnomia, The old ____ Girl games from Kooon Soft, SuccubusHeaven, and SO SO many more examples of games that the player can play seriously, or just fap to, with difficulty that's basically "Hey, don't get too horny and stand still against this enemy, or do it, but you'll lose like 2 hp".

The games I mentioned earlier, Alice In Cradle, Future Fragments, This game, and others recently have been too ambitious to be an actual game. Galleries are difficult to get, scenes are hard to find, devs tease the H-game community for a fanbase... You can see it. It's awful. Take care of your playerbase and your games WILL be popular. I say, just release the game on Steam without the H stuff and leave the community alone.

that's the good shit
i've noticed that a lot of people in here in f95zone hate that but it's not like that elsewhere
the reason that thing hasn't died is because people like it

what community? you don't speak for the whole hentai community dude
a lot of people like what you don't like, if you don't like one game don't play it, but that doesn't mean OOH EVERYBODY HATES THIS no, that's just your opinion, and yes many may share your opinion but not everyone
fuck the night of revenge community is making mods to make the game harder
if anything i feel like there are way too many piss easy games honestly, but i won't say it because i know it's to each their own really, and there are also other important reasons that i understand
also like
i think that IDEALLY
ideally, the best thing would be a simple difficulty option
people can choose easy normal or hard
but that's obviously more work

last i played this game it was a demo and there were some fucking BRUTAL missiles XD hahahaha like seriously those missiles were fucking nuts i wonder if they're still as OP
but well, now it's time to test the full game and see how it is
but there are already people here saying they've beaten it so

This isn't a souls-like, it's a Metroid game. It's very clearly an homage to Metroid 1 for the NES. The protagonist has green hair (like suitless Samus), can't shoot up, and there's no map. Once you get to the lab/plant area it's even set up like Kraid's lair with the one long column at the start.

I don't find this game very challenging, but if you look at any other sidescrolling games you'll find people who mod them to be more challenging. People like a challenge. Rignetta and Eris Dsynomia are great, but you have to try to fail. One of the most popular games on this site is Alien Quest Eve, a metroid game that's received tons of mod support so it can be more challenging. Degrees of Lewdity is a game that almost always forces you to fail. Karryn's Prison is a game that gives you misinformation at the start so that you end up making things harder on yourself. Those 3 are some of the highest rated games on the site.

People come in all shapes and sizes, we all like different stuff!

There's this one area that I can't enter near the start of the game after you take the first elevator. You can get up there with the high jump and it leads to a room where you have to take moving platforms to avoid the spikes and when you get to the end of the room there's a hallway that won't let you in for some reason. It'll act like you've zoned but it'll just push you out before anything is shown.

When you have to walk for long periods it sounds like someone's playing with a paddle-ball behind me. Why are her footsteps so loud and monotonous...

Either I'm crazy or there's no map in this metroid game. I'm making my own map like this is the late 1900's.
You wouldn't happen to have that map on file so you could share it could you?

ah yes my favorite thing in a porn game, mildly frustrating precision platforming and zero h-scenes on 2/3 enemies
yeah exactly mate.
this game have a lot of potenzial but the code for checking collision and not being able to jump from an edge + no map makes this unplayable for me. Sad looks promissing.

Wow, a platformer game where I don't wanna die irl trying beat another "well designed room with platforms". I mean map sucks a bit as well because how empty levels feels like. (there's like giant rooms with either no enemies, or 1-2)

Yeah the difficulty is fine? But the large open rooms that take 30-40s to traverse (even rooms with no enemies) is really just not fun. Could reduce the map by half the size and have a much better game.

99% save, just missing one cg, secret ending maybe? Posting just so people do have something, this game is pretty painful at times. That being said there's a lot of quality here and it shows

Godspeed to the person finding the missing cg

Oh, and it goes in the _data folder

The lack of a map hurts this game so damn much. Even if it was just a map of rooms you've already explored. The fact that some sections in the early levels are blocked off due to a lack of weapons/abilities to get past obstacles makes this even more important. How the hell am I supposed to remember that there was an area with a destroyable block 3 minutes in when the ability to destroy it only shows up much later.

That, combined with the fact that there's no 'hold Z to fire continuously' when basically every enemy requires 10+ shots to kill made me quit not even 30 minutes in.

Vid btw

Third area does not even work, if anybody can figure this out please let me know, tried changing resolutions too just in case there's some jank attached to window size.

Also the only thing I can think about while looking at the pixel art for ants (it's well animated, but still) is that this is, under all circumstances, a Where the fuck do I go kind of game.

I will "Retrun to Main Menu", I wish more good 2D pixel art games came out.

getting lost simulator

Currently lost after getting spreadshot/in purple area. I don't think I got guidance... OR i'm supposed to go to the true lab now... (goes to check)

thats definitely what I was supposed to do. Final boss killed. hate that you have to get grabbed by enemies to get scenes, cause I never got killed enough for that to happen. and there's no map so i'm definitely not finding my way back through.
