Aaaand there is 0 contributions to it, guess this one will die
The game's official Twitter/X page states that the crowdfunding will begin on the 9th of May, the same day that it will become impossible to purchase premium currency ingame, and end on the 26th of July. If any of you want to contribute (whatever the amount), the more the merrier.

whats the status of this, is the newest verison linked?
There's this version that was updated almost a year ago. 2024/08/31
It is 3 gigs more and labeled as Alpha 1.5 instead of 1.2 in the OP. So I assume this one is more up-to-date. No idea if it has all the scenes or not.

If they are made or updated, people usually share updated viewer links in their ExHentai gallery pages.

I have no idea if the gallery has more images past where the viewer was last updated.
Or what's going on with the game, since I heard it was ending service like two months ago.

Theres an offline release in development scheduled for late October, just like how Magicami had a few months ago.

Can confirm 1.5 has more content, but it's missing a large portion of the newer stuff. Also, I know there's some way to get around it, but exhentai just doesn't work for a lot of people

Maybe? Magicami runs with unity so bepis works but it all depends on how the developers make it.
What is Bepis and how does it work?

I know that for games like Monmusu TD, you can use an extractor script to extract the JP dialogue from an individual scene, translate it with something like Google Translate, then use an injector script to inject the translated text back into the right file.
But this is a bit of a pain and slow when there are like 800 scenes.

Are you referring to the viewer or the actual game?

Using these two programs you can translate *most* unity games, i use them to live translate the DMM games using sugoi translator (imo the best free one, its just run on your system instead of sending it off to bing/google), like MonmusuTD and Tenkei Paradox.

MMTD does take some editing of the txt file due to the UI having some weird text added to give everything different fonts and effects, and the dialogue box is seemingly hard coded to only show as many characters as there are in Japanese so you have to open the log to see characters full dialogue.

Sweet, thanks! I'll check those out.

I'm referring to asset files ripped from the MMTD web game.
My original plan was to update the viewer if I could find a link to it, but I had zero luck finding one.
So I started to make my own janky viewer. But instead of using a program to translate the text while the game is running, I was MTLing the game files one scene at a time, at a snail's pace.

I think it would be reasonable to assume that even if Bepis doesn't work with the offline version of Midnight Girls, it would be possible to edit the dialogue in the game files.
If it's similar to MMTD, it's just a matter of finding the text files, and replacing the Japanese text with English text.
