Let's talk about "fair" for a second. What is a "fair" amount of content? The last time an update was released was march of last year. That means we are 13 going on 14 months now without an update. Normal game updates around here are between 2-4 months. Even if we give him the max amount of time to release an update at 4 months, that is still 3 updates worth of content that he needs to put out now. He never paused his patreon to stop taking money because he had other things going on. So the only assumption is that he was working all this time. Should be easy to do. And if he does put out that amount of content I will have nothing to say, although what took so long is a question one might have. However, he will have fulfilled what I count as a "fair" amount of content for the time and money he took. But considering track record I doubt the above will be the case. Most likely we will see Ruby completed and a few smaller scenes(booty calls) done, but no real progress with Joyce or the Aunt or other characters.
So let's get back to what is "fair." At the end of December he posted the "last preview" for version .17
This would imply that the update should be nearly done at this point, as he also said this was the last preview before the update. So what took him another 5 months to complete? More content? Other "unfortunate and unforeseen" circumstances? Laziness? The only other update was on the 2nd of February and even then it still took another 3 months to pump out the update. So we have come back to my initial timeline of 13-14 months of development and so we should expect at a minimum 3 updates worth of content. Even if I go extremely generous and say 6 months for an update that is still 2 updates worth of content, which at this point would be 2 character storylines finished. I think that is "fair" and any less would be a ripoff to anyone who paid this dev over the last year. As I said before maybe he does this, we will have to wait and see.
