Are you sure it's not because men can use whores, but often they are the victims of sluts or ignored by them? A whore will have sex with anyone who can pay her, whereas the slut only sleeps with people according to her inclinations and desires (which means if you can't satisfy them, unlike with a whore you've got no chance).

That's nonsense. Prostitutes are often deceptive about their intentions. Their main goal is to get as much money out of the customers as they can, for the least amount of effort. Job satisfaction does not play a big role in the lives of most whores, except in fantasy games, and if they can cheat their customers and get away with it, so much the better. And certainly community service of any kind is the last thing on their minds. Whoring is purely and simply about gratifying their need to make money for themselves and their pimp if they have one, and satisfying anybody beyond that comes a very distant second.

A slut on the other hand, is much more likely to take pleasure in her ability to satisfy her partners, and is much more likely to devote a lot of time and effort into any sexual exchange, because unlike the whore what she does isn't determined by how much the customer has paid, but by how much pleasure she's getting from the sex. This is so fucking true. Just wear some worn out clothes as you are comfortable in them in some expensive boutique and security will follow you everywhere so you don't steal anything. I don't know if there's a counterpart to this proverb in every country: A saint on the street, a whore in the sheets.

Even though I don't share this way of thinking, many men have the desire to have a “pure, virginal woman” as a wife, even though they have unfulfilled sexual desires at the same time. Either because the “pure” woman doesn't do the stuff the man desires, or because they don't dare to express them.

And that's when the fantasy of having a personal whore comes into play. This is not about a prostitute who earns money, but about a woman who does things in bed that a "pure" woman wouldn't. Things you'd otherwise only get for money. Your personal "whore".

As I already said in one of my last posts here, words are always related to the overall picture. Context can give a harmless word a nasty meaning, or softens the impact of a bad word.

But your comment doesn't support that. Because your infer that being a whore is more beneficial to society than merely being a slut. You're suggesting that whores serve a purpose, whilst sluts don't. You imply that sluts operate purely for their own gratification, whereas prostitutes don't. And that is nonsense. Because the prostitutes prime motivation, is her desire to make money for herself and/or her pimp if she has one. They're not intentionally performing some public service, it's primarily for their own gratification and any public service is merely an unintended consequence. Whereas the 'slut', is much more likely to try to enhance her partners pleasure, because doing so invariably gives her even more pleasure, whereas the whore often doesn't care whether she gets any pleasure. The important thing for the whore is earning money, and if she's smart she'll try hard to give her customer pleasure, but only as much as they've paid for. Whereas, the slut isn't restricted by that, but only by how turned on she is or isnt.

Now if you'd said something else that did demonstrate the interchangeability of those words, then I wouldn't have replied the way I did. Because obviously in certain circumstances, 'whore' can be used when someone says 'slut' and vice versa.

It's was a hypothetical line of thinking anyone could have who's ordered a prostitute and had a good time and respects their craft and doesn't like that sluts dish it out for free when they clearly get none.

It's not my own opinion, it was a reply to someone who thought they can dictate how people use slang/curse words. Don't make the mistake of believing people look up a dictionary when they call others sluts or whores. The whole idea of "taking this word back" shows you how much most of the people care about the difference in their everyday life.
