There seems to be a bug if you sleep in Rani's after the baby's born and start sleeping

It doesn't seem to happen if you sleep alone

You don't really need one, I found the hint system more than enough to know what to do next.

I will check, I don't save all the often when games have minimal content. The saves I am sure of are way before the panty quest.

I saw a part of a potential problem. The Rani quest hints dropped off the hints tab. If I remember correctly, it dropped off after I asked for the panties and paid 80 gold to play around with Mary a little.

Check the auto save, as long as you didn't sleep after you were supposed to get the panties, it should work

I see what happened, it looks like you skipped Emma quest altogether
I recommend starting again, concentrate on her and use her as a starting point to the next one

Unfortunately, my impression of the game, it doesn't allow for an open world style of play, if you skip parts you could end up messing things up

So far, it has been a lot of grind with minimal reward. Your statement on the impression of an open-world style game is correct. If things must proceed in a specific order, clarification in the hint log is required, or an actual walkthrough is needed.

I've got good news for you
concentrate on Emma and all the hints associated with her, and eventually you'll get the chance to steal her daughter's panties and give them to the beggar

It looks like there's a bug when buying Mary's panties, or it was never to be an option, just a chance to get the special scene when you pay her 80 Gold.

I can't say I know what the first part of the Emma quest was, but I was partially through that set of quests, at least fighting her until the hint log told me to pursue someone else. I had to get through Rose's daughter's quest up to the spying scene, and umm, who knows what was supposed to be next. This game needs more thought into how to interconnect quests. If it is to be open-world, with conditions, then quests must lock until all conditions (for all interlocking quests) are met, then advance the quest. If it is possible that pursuing one quest out of order can bork the thing then that is just bad design. I get replayability, but I will only replay a game that is interesting or the replay is entirely different. Replaying the same scenes over and over until you get to a divergent point is boring.

Also have this bug. I had already completed emma's quests (as another responder had said). I also cannot get anne's panties as she doesnt leave her room and always asks me to leave. (This was suggested as a work around)

Also have a bug in Susan's quest where there is a noise outside my cabin. a guy runs past near the cabin but then pauses at the side of the screen and does nothing. I cannot interact with him either.
