The game doesn't open for me... Why is that? I've seen some comments saying that the "compressed" version works better, but why the main version doesn't work?

I don't know if this answers the question or not, but there is a problem with the existing file "libLive2DCubismCore.dylib".
If you google you can find file with the same name online. Download a new file and replace it.

Public is outdated uncompleted one, it has no ending. When game was released on steam the NTR was removed (can be brought back with ) but the story got it's ending and few DLC's (and more are planned). So basically
Steam = Public - NTR + Ending + DLC. With mentioned patch installed over current Steam version there's no reason to download and play public at all.

There's a special forum for questions like this so answering here would be complete off-topic. Anyway, take a look at SexNote, Snow Daze, This Romantic World and Taffy Tales. With this one those five game are a "five horses of wincestpocalypsis" in hand-drawn porn games world.

Was anybody able to play the Mac version?
I tried running the regular Mac version, the compressed Mac version, tried also downloading the PC version both regular and compressed and ran them through Renpy SDK (version 8.2.1 and latest 8.3), and even tried compiling the Mac versions, but I get an error on launch (below).
If anybody knows how to fix this, please I am all eyes.
