Treat them as separate parts man. Chapter 2 doesn't depend on the progress and routes you taken is Chapter 1. So it doesn't matter. Just play them as a separate games. You know what happened in Chapter 1 consider this as continuation of that as a VN. Simple VN nothing more. There is not much effected. Basic stuff like Name and Relations you have to input at the start. And that is it. If you want to see/replay some scenes from Chapter I open the Chapter I game.
Edit: If you are discussing Android version. Check few posts above. I shared link for Android ports from KoGa3 where he separated Chapter I and Chapter II into separate Apps. If you discussing PC then that you can download Chapter II separately anyways so it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not sure. The last past of Chapter 1 is 0.28, Chapter 2 starts with 0.29.
The very first scene in Chapter 1 is MC sitting at a desk in his dorm room reading a letter.

Thats because Ch1. and Ch2. shares the same save folder: \AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Milfylicious-1668113355
I made a small "hack", I've opened the Ch2 v0.29's options.rpy file, search the define config.save_directory line, and change Milfylicious-1668113355 to MilfyliciousCh2-1668113355 and save the file. So, from now I have a save directory for Ch1, and a different one for Ch2.
Problem with that, every time when a new update released, I have to change that line in the options.rpy, or overwrite with my modified one before start new version.

Oh that's really good to know. Thanks for that. I have all my games & saves on external drives unless I am currently playing them and I clean out my appdata constantly (just a habit, because I play many different paths in many games). So I've never noticed that they use the same save folder.

The AI version implementation is dumb. Kiss the lips icon everytime there is an AI image. No way around it. They look super inconsistent too. Short update, this doesnot bode well for the future of this game.
