Hey Milton, I believe I've seen you in The Power of Truth thread, yet you don't have a post about it here?
Anyway, I think it's a well-made fuckfest and haven't dropped it for that reason, but not really keen into the MC and his story. I think he works better as an asshole, so I'm gonna make him a burke to Dianna's quinn . Mercy's gonna be devastated, but I just don't see her 'taming' this troubled chick magnet.
Ha yea I asked Tony the same thing in his thread and even commented that I was surprised that Milton didn't have a post on it either

U can't keep putting off playing Unbroken forever haha!! You'll play it when the next update releases yea? Think I saw a comment mentioning that a while back or so
Yep, Unbroken is at the top of my list, but waiting for the next update. (y)

Glad to hear it, it's just so good. I told Zorro but his comments in Tony's thread, like this one, convinced me to play it and I'm so glad I did
I'm normally okay with playing games after a long wait, but with Unbroken, I'm starting to feel like I'm forgetting it all. If the update drops and my saves don't transfer, I don't think I'll have the motivation to start it afresh.

I been waiting for the update just to replay the game I skipped the last update. I usually like to replay games every 2 - 3 updates unless it's a game I don't care about , as I feel like I forget alot of details about games after that long.

Don't tell me that. :ROFLMAO:

I noticed that Book 1 was finished, and needed to make saves transfer for the next update, so I gave up waiting and started it today. I'll be pissed if saves won't transfer. :ROFLMAO: At least it will be fresh and I can skip through most of it. (y)

That's the good part of having a horrible memory, everything always feels new! :KEK:

Btw I never watched a movie that scared the living hell out of me more than Memento, my ex at the time didn't help of course with her shitty pranks.

Man I have good memory when it comes to video games and stories generally until X amount of time has past unless I just didn't care for the story or something. But AVN's is something else for me I play to many of them I find it doesn't take so long for me to forget stuff. Expect for my favorites which makes me wonder how people like Milton , Tony and Alex remember so much. Id have to takes notes which is why I have my own LI screenshot folder ( sadly my spreadsheet file got corrupted when it file got over 2GB) and didn't feel like trying to fix it or remake it after trying for an hour. Thankfully I got the folders and images still that is the important part spreadsheet was for fun

I have a good memory for stuff like this. It's the same with books, I never have to re-read the previous books when a new one in the series comes out (thankfully). It sometimes takes a little time, but once I start playing (or reading), it all just starts coming back to me. I do sometimes need to go check my LI cards to remind myself who someone is when I see a name mentioned in a game thread, but other than that, I think I'm generally pretty good.

I only have a good "visual memory" I remember faces and places, but names, plots, and in general almost anything else is a mess since I was a kid, and of course is only getting worse.
For me the only way to remember things is:
  1. Take notes
  2. Attach visual elements to everything (when possible)
Problem with AVNs is that I don't have the time to do that and the visuals... well they tend to repeat (same as major plotpoints), I think both Tony and Milton give a lot of "help" to their memories by doing their lists, reviews.

Or maybe they just have outstanding memories, in which case I can only hate! :KEK:

oh man I feel this so much. In TV shows like game of thrones where there are to many characters I know them by the most random descriptions unless they get alot of screen time or something. Tho my worst offense is when it comes to anime. I can't keep up with Japanese names most of the time even the MC unless it's a easy Japanese name. We can be talking about anime I can know wtf you are talking about but the moment someone uses a name I get lost. The anime im watching 1 of the main girls I know her by big titty blonde that has op healing skills.

Look (and then I'll shut up), you know the dementia test they give to old folks or people who went through some medical issues?
The one when at the beginning they give you some words to memorise, have you complete some other stuff and then out of the blue ask you to repeat the words?
My mom (in her late 70s) caught a meningitis, when after almost 3 months she finally sort fo recovered the doctor made her take the test in front of me... she sort of passed it, I couldn't remember them frigging words if my life depended on it. :HideThePain:

Ranking every AVN I play in several criteria and dropping half of them certainly helps not forgetting things I want to remember.

Wooooo a man of culture!! There's a fair number of lines from Memento that I've quoted so much to my friends that it's a bit at this point ("can I forget what u just told me", "I have this condition", etc). It is my favorite movie tho (admittedly I rarely watch movies and by no means was ever a cinephile, but still I think it's amazing) and was honestly prob the thing that introduced me to the immense satisfaction and idk, profundity, of useless intellectual reflection haha. Idk if I'd have the same feelings now but a couple of years ago it was def life altering

When it came out I dragged my ex to watch it, It's a fine movie, but if it wasn't for the fact it hits so close to home, I'd probably notch it down some places, but then again I'm a pretentious cinephile, which lowkey helped in getting that ex to become an ex... I dragged her also to watch Mulholland Drive, she really hated that one, little did she know that I at least spared her Bela Tarr's movies (and a small interview I had with him). :KEK:

This reminds me of something tangentially related that I've thought about. Still many years away (and a couple of degrees as well lol) but a career in academia is the goal and it occurred to me that either my memory needs to drastically improve or my note taking process (although I do really need to commit to vimwiki one of these days) or something. Cuz I'll read a paper and then think of it the next week and not remember anything except for basically what's in the abstract lol. Which honestly for idk, biology or quantitative sociology etc. is probably not an issue haha but for (insufferably technical) analytic philosophy, the entire point is the argumentative structure. So yea I have no idea how someone is supposed to stay on top of the "literature" lol
